Chopin, Guillaume Apollinaire, Rotschild, Pissaro, Sarah Bernhardt, Champollion, Eluard, Grappelli, Delacroix and so many others… it’s the largest cemetery in Paris and a must if you visit the capital of France. Good to know: the Père Lachaise was the confessor of Louis XIV and one of the first to be ‘elected’ for the site was Moliere.
I have been to the area of Pere Lachaise-Nation in Paris and it is a really neat part of the city. I had never heard of it before I went to Paris, but I now I know it is actually a very well-known neighborhood, if you will. Also, there is the cemetary that holds the bodies of famous singer Jim Morrison and the author of one of my favorite books, Oscar Wilde. It was really neat to see the place where the likes of these famous people are laid to rest.
Rally Jim Morrison’s grave is there!!! in Paris ?? Woaw I had no clue about that. I found out also that Edith Piaf who I really love is also at this cimetery. So i guess next time I go to Paris I will have to go there.
