For eco-friendly, festive food—and free samples!—head to the Christmas Market at Inn the Park restaurant in St. James’s Park, Westminster. Traditional British favorites will be on hand and we guarantee visions of sugar plums and figgy pudding for all!
To see the city of London lit up with colorful lights, bundle up for a walk from Marylebone to Regent’s Street and Carnaby. But while your eyes are wide with wonder, don’t forget to keep an ear out for carols by candlelight at Royal Albert Hall and Westminster Abbey.
For traditionalists, nothing beats The Nutcracker by the Royal Ballet or Footsbarns traveling theatre Christmas show at Shakespeare’s Globe. Or start your own tradition with Christmas on the Canal at City Road Basin Plaza, featuring boat trips, a snow machine and even Santa’s grotto.
Sure, London’s Royal Parks are the perfect places to spend summer days, but on winter evenings, you can curl up in a tent-like yurt around a warm stove with a glass of mulled wine and listen to the Mid-winter Stories taking place there. Of course, if that sounds a little too toasty for you, there are always the gorgeously lit ice skating rinks at Hampton Court Palace and Somerset House (West End) or the Absolut Icebar on Heddon Street, Mayfair, to get your blood pumping that much quicker.

Hopefully Christmas in London wouldn’t be too much like A Christmas Carol!
I love English Christmas Carols. I think Ceremony of Carols might be my favorite set; then again, I do have a soft spot for Benjamin Britten. Maybe London would be the perfect place to spend Christmas next year.
I would love to spend a holiday in London!

I really like the apartment in the picture, very chic.
I was supposed to go to London for the New Year because my friend is over there, but she decided to come back to the States…oh well maybe another time.
Sorry Charlie, but it is like A Christmas Carol, after all it wouldn’t be Christmas London style.
