The apartment has a lot of taste and charm, the neighborhood provides many places for eating, shopping-everything and is therefor rather loud. Our host took great care to fulfill all our needs and wishes. The small backyard garden with the concert of birds in the morning and evening was a highlight. The cleanliness in the outer hallway could be improved. |

Thank you for pointing out the outer hallway-- we will do our best to keep it more clean. As for the noise level-- yes it is a rather lively neighborhood, and actually our street is one of the quieter ones. It tends to be a little louder and livelier on Friday and Saturday nights-- but then the liveliness is part of what gives the East Village its charm. |

Great location. Friendly landlord. No breakfast even if described as B&B. Very dirty apartment. We found large cockroaches. |

I am surprised you found the apartment dirty Jorgen, as my cleaning lady does a very thorough job before each visit and I personally inspect the apartment each time before guests check in. |
Answer by: New York Customer Service Jan 23 2014 |
Thank you so much for your review Jorgen! Indeed, B&B owners do not necessarily offer breakfast. We greatly appreciate your feedback. |

Great appt. in nice relaxed area, everything you want and need in walking distance. The owners were very kind and helpful during the hurricane. No electricity during the last 3 days but that didn't spoil our experience. |

Thank you for your review, Raoul. I am glad hurricane Sandy did not ruin your trip. The apartment is indeed in a great location -- many restaurants are nearby, the grocery store is just 2 blocks away, and we are close to the subway as well. |
