Experience New York from a different perspective – the Brooklyn perspective! – in this two bedroom apartment in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
Located on Macon Street & Marcy Avenue, the two bedroom accommodation is on the top floor of a 4-story (considered 3-story in Europe) classic prewar brownstone building built in 1900. Use of a staircase is necessary to access the home.
The NYC residence spans approximately 950sqft (88sqm). Lined with hardwood floors, it features long windows that surround the home and allow sunlight to enter the space. The accommodation offers an ideal layout: bedroom 1 is on the southwest end, and bedroom 2 takes up the north end of the apartment. In between the bedrooms are a bathroom, living room, and kitchen.
In the living room, tenants will find a sofa, cable television, extra seating space, and a small red table. The open kitchen is attached to this space, separated by a small dining table for two. It is equipped with a stainless steel fridge/freezer, oven with stove, some cabinetry, and a sink.
Bedroom 2 spans 80sqft (7.4sqm) and is furnished with a double bed. Bedroom 1 spans 300sqft (28sqm); featuring a double bed with fresh linens, it provides two additional sleeping spaces: one twin-sized futon and one double futon. The room is also equipped with a television, small table in the center of the room, and dresser drawers for item storage. Please note that though bedroom 2 can accommodate up to five people, there is no privacy between the sleeping spaces in the room and this arrangement reduces available floorspace.
Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, lovingly referred to by locals as Bed Stuy, is a residential NYC community that offers a calm environment far from the traffic and swarms of people in Midtown Manhattan, while being just 6 train stops (on the A train) from Lower Manhattan and just 10 stops from Times Square.
For public transportation around Brooklyn and into Manhattan (and other New York boroughs), use the A and C trains at Nostrand Avenue / Fulton Street (0.3mi/400m).

I was quite disappointed with my stay- there were no brooms/ hoovers available, which meant the apartment got very dusty. I asked the cleaner about this and she said I'd have to call her out- however, this would cost me even more money. |

Further to this review, the owner informed us that she provides a broom and dustpan for sweeping, which are kept in the closet by the front bedroom. The shower handle, toilet and the stove have now been repaired and are all functioning properly. |
