This is a model room. It reflects both the quality and the style of the rooms we offer at this location. The individual rooms are a variation of this one with some differences in layout and exposure.

The room for rent is situated in a prewar 7-floor building located on the Upper West Side of NYC, Manhattan. It is located at the corner of West 99th Street and Broadway, three blocks from the 96th Street subway station where you can catch the 1, 2 and 3 lines.

A reception representative is present 24 hours a day and is stationed at the entrance where you can access the elevator that will bring you up to each of the 7 floors of the building. The laundry facilities are on-site and coin-operated.

The room is furnished with a double bed, an air-conditioning unit, a smart TV, desk with chair and a mini-fridge. The bathroom is private but the kitchen is shared. The kitchen can be a meeting place for the residents of 17 rooms. You must bring your own utensils, pots, pans etc since they are not provided. 

The Upper West Side neighborhood in Manhattan, New York is well-known for the food delicacies that can be found at the Fairway Market (three subway stops away) where you can buy fresh products or the Levain Bakery where you can enjoy a delicious and warm cookie. You can also stroll down a few blocks down Broadway and find numerous clothing stores and boutiques for shopping purposes. You can also ride a bike or rollerblade along the Hudson river that has majestic views of New Jersey.

Please note that this furnished unit offers apartment-style accommodations with a communal kitchen environment. The occupant should not expect to have the same experience as a regular rental in a New York City residential apartment. It is also important to note that depending on the room's placement within the building, some traffic noise from Broadway may travel into the unit.

Please note that some noise can be heard in the rooms facing the street.

Apartment Rental: 3 months

It is a convenient location, relatively clean, and doormen were friendly. However, the owner owes us $100 because they changed the original bill and added $25 without us noticing, and then they did not clean our room during the last 3 weeks of our stay (and they charged us $25 per weekly cleaning service, so $25 x 3 = $75).

Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism.

Your apt was scheduled to get cleaned and unfortunately due to your door being locked from the inside this service was unable to be done. A note was placed under the door to notify you but we once again apologize for any inconvenience caused. New York Habitat did inform you prior to your arrival that there would be a $25 cleaning fee per week, but we apologize if this was not clear.
