These two bedroom apartments are found in a low-rise walk-up building in Midtown East, situated not far from the East River. The apartments benefit from a buzzer/intercom system as well as individual washer/dryer units, allowing you to do this chore at your leisure.
The units maintain some of their prewar charm thanks to exposed brick walls, however you will have plenty of modern conveniences with a dishwasher and flat screen TV, for example. In both bedrooms you will find a double size bed and the living room also sports a double size convertible futon for when guests call. The ceiling fans improve air circulation throughout the two bedroom apartment, and there is an air conditioning unit available as well. The bathroom is fully tiled for easy cleaning, and the kitchen also has a tiled backsplash for the same reason.
This building is situated near East 58th Street and 1st Avenue, neatly between two of NYC's more renowned professional locations: the United Nations Headquarters and the New York Presbyterian University Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. These can both be accessed via the 1st and 2nd Avenue bus lines that run north-south through the East Side of Manhattan. You will not have to go far to access everyday conveniences -- there is a Duane Reade pharmacy and bank within a block, as well as a supermarket about two blocks away (all within 160 meters). Midtown East is also is adjacent to Central Park and the beginning of the "Museum Mile" on 5th Avenue, so you won't have to go far to see some of New York's most famous icons!
The nearest subway station to these apartments is at Lexington Avenue and 59th Street, giving access to several lines (4, 5, 6 and N, Q, R), which makes commuting around NYC smoother. There is also the E and M train lines at 53rd and Lexington that are within walking distance.
