This triplex apartment in Harlem, NY is the perfect accommodation for travelers and families wishing to stay in a truly commodious space (rare in Manhattan!) within a pleasant community in NYC. Located on Sylvan Terrace and Saint Nicholas Avenue, the apartment occupies the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors (considered ground-2nd in Europe) of a three-story 19th century walk-up townhouse. For privacy assurance, a buzzer/intercom system is in place throughout the building.
Manhattan is known for its studio apartments – but this is no studio! Here, you will live comfortably in a house fit for suburbia; though to be sure, this is no suburban town… it’s the city that never sleeps! This three-floor apartment includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living room areas, and exclusive access to an enclosed patio. Decorated with stately and stylish accessories, it is a house designed to please.
The main living room on the ground floor is open to the kitchen, and is furnished to be more of a recreational area. Here you will find a large sofa and working fireplace. One large window with curtains brightens up the space and allows fresh air to ventilate the room. Paintings line the walls, and an arm chair supplies additional seating space. A large flat-screen television with DVD player hides in a cabinet, waiting to entertain during lazy days or late nights. The open, eat in kitchen is attached to living room 1 and has a lovely range of stainless steel appliances, and a dining table that allows space to consume meals. Windows in the kitchen overlook the enclosed outdoor patio, which includes its own table for eating.
Upstairs on the middle level is the office (Living Room #2) and the studio (Bedroom #3). The office faces away from the street to maximize the quiet and minimize distraction, and has two workstations. French doors open from the office to the studio, a light-filled space with yet another decorative fireplace. The sofa in here unfolds into a queen size bed to accommodate larger groups, though please be aware that privacy could be limited since the office space connects directly via glass doors.
On the top floor are the two main bedrooms, tastefully decorated with large windows allowing sunlight to light up the gorgeous sleeping quarters. The master bedroom (Bedroom #1) has chandelier lighting and exposed brick that sets off the chocolate colored walls. The children's bedroom has a child size bed and a crib, and playful decorations on the wall.
