This fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment is on the 2nd floor (considered 1st floor by Europeans) of a 5-story walk-up building in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The apartment can either be rented as a 2-bedroom unit or a 1-bedroom unit with the 2nd bedroom locked off (please note that if rented as a 2 bedroom, there will still be some belongings stored in this room). There is a washer and dryer in the apartment, which has a north, west and south exposure, with windows in every room, including the bathroom. Most of the windows face west, but the master bedroom has two windows facing north with a great view of a typical New York street.
The carpeted main living room welcome you home with a comfortable sofa that faces a coffee table and flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player. For a different kind of entertainment, the room also features a bookcase and a piano. A round wooden dining table stands close to the open kitchen, which has a tiled floor, dishwasher and a large double-doored fridge. To get some work done just go to the office next to the master bedroom. This bedroom has a very classic feel with a decorative fireplace and green drapes that match the pastel mint walls.
Wireless Internet access is available, though please note that it can be erratic in the kitchen and dining area, but is strong in the front 2/3rds of the apartment.
The 2-bedroom apartment can be found at West 85th Street and Broadway in the center of the Upper West Side. Riverside Park, with a beautiful view of the Hudson River is only 2 blocks to the west from the apartment. Two blocks to the east you will find New York City’s most famous park: Central Park is a great place for sports, hiking, relaxing and people watching. There are many good restaurants, bars and shops in this part of Manhattan. Prime Ko Japanese Steakhouse and French Roast are literally right outside the apartment, and there is a movie theater not two blocks away on Broadway where you will find all kinds of shops such as Victoria’s Secret and Barnes & Noble. To commute uptown or downtown, just walk two blocks to the 86th Street & Broadway subway station where you can catch the 1 train, or four blocks to 86 Street & Central Park West where you can get the B or C train.

The apartment was amazing! The master bedroom was huge, the living area was spacious, and kitchen had everything you could need--including a new dishwasher which is amazing for NYC. |
