These rooms for rent are located in a three bedroom / two bath duplex apartment located in a walk-up townhouse in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn. The townhouse was built in 2003 and has a video camera/intercom security system at the entrance. The apartment occupies the 1st & 2nd floors (considered ground and first floors by Europeans) of the 3 story townhouse and has a southern exposure facing the garden.
The first floor which accesses the garden, is where the shared kitchen and living room are located as well as the owner’s bedroom which has a private bath. The two rooms for rent are located on the 2nd floor. Bedroom #1 has a twin size trundle bed that can be converted into a queen bed. In your room you will also find a closet for storage, a large mirror, a flat screen TV with cable and air conditioner for the summer months. Bedroom 2 features a twin bed, a closet and a TV as well. The 2 rooms for rent will share the 2nd bathroom on the same floor.
The shared kitchen has plenty of cabinet and countertop space and is equipped with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances including a microwave, dishwasher, four burner gas stove and oven as well as a toaster oven and coffee maker. The kitchen is open to the living room where there are chairs and a couch to sit and relax and a dining table with seating for four people where you can enjoy a meal at home.
In the milder months you have the added bonus of a lovely large backyard garden where you can spend time relaxing outdoors. A stepping stone path through the grass leads to a covered area where you can sit and enjoy a meal outside.
You will find this three bedroom apartment share at Prospect Place and Saratoga Avenue. You can pick up deli items on Prospect Place or head to nearby restaurants New Peking Chinese or Papa’s Diner for a bite to eat. You can find your drug store/pharmacy needs on Pitkin Avenue. If you’re in the mood to do some shopping head to Fulton Street where you’ll find plenty of local shops to browse. If you’re looking for some exercise besides strolling the city streets, there’s a local swimming pool located at St. John’s Recreation Center or you have the option of NYC’s beaches just a subway commute away.
While you’re living the life of a Brooklynite, take advantage of NYC’s expansive subway system, get yourself an unlimited Metrocard and hop the subway to explore the rest of Brooklyn. Each neighborhood has its own special charm to discover. And when you’re finished getting to know Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens are just a subway ride away.
The C train stops at Ralph Avenue / Fulton Street or Rockaway Avenue / Fulton Street, the 2 subway stops closest to the apartment.

The value for money is fine but you have to allow an hour with the subway to go to Times Square and a 10 minute walk to get to the subway. |

We take pride in giving excellent service- cleanness is one of our priorities; in addition, we make sure our home is INSECT FREE and that all of the windows have screens. We live here too. Guests must be mindful that the agreement does not include housekeeping. This summer unfortunately mother nature gave us some extremely hot days which made the temperature unbearable for everyone. We want to offer comfortable accommodation - |

This is a great apartment stay because the price and quality ratio is greatly in favor of the customer. As far as NY places go, you really won't find anything this cheap and this good. Being upstairs is a good setup for additional privacy, and your bathroom is just steps away. This is more of a home than an apartment, and the garden is a nice addition. The kitchen is a little small but well-equipped. |
