There are also great restaurants like the famous Soul food restaurant, Sylvia’s (5 blocks away), and Red Rooster (4 blocks away). Another must-see in this area is a Sunday morning service at one of the many Baptist Gospel churches located all around the neighborhood. Or, if you prefer to see a jazz show, you should definitely visit the Apollo Theater (2 blocks), where major American stars have been born. There are several subways stations nearby. To catch a train downtown, walk to 125 Street / Lenox Avenue (4 blocks north) or 116 Street / Lenox Avenue (7 blocks south) and catch the 2 or 3 trains that run all the way to Brooklyn. Alternatively, head to 116 Street / 8 Avenue (7 blocks), which offers service on the B and C trains, or 125 Street / Saint Nicholas Avenue (6 blocks), where you can access the A,B,C, and D trains.
