This four bedroom vacation rental is situated on the first floor (2nd American floor) of a 1920 pre-war building located on Avenue d’Eylau between the Trocadero & the Arc de Triomphe. This accommodation in the Trocadeo section of the 16th arrondissement of Paris has an elevator and concierge as well as an intercom at the main door. From this great location you can see both the Eiffel Tower and the nearby Trocadéro Gardens. High ceilings, hardwood floors, and fireplaces in all the rooms are just some of the characteristics that make this beautiful apartment warm and inviting.
When you enter the four bedroom you will find yourself in the entry hall that leads to the living room, bedrooms, and kitchen. In the main part of the living room you will find a sectional sofa, love seat, and coffee table all positioned around a fireplace and large full wall window that over looks the street below. Through some glass paned French doors from this space is the library and music room section of the living room. One wall, you will notice, houses many books. Across from the bookcases there is a small couch where you could comfortably curl up with a good novel. Show off your piano playing skills at the baby grand piano that majestically sits in front of the bay windows at the far end. A view of the inner courtyard can be seen from this impressive window. Also off of the main living room is the dining room where you can find a table for 4 positioned under a chandelier and with another fireplace nearby. The window in this room also gives views of the courtyard. Through this room is an office that features a fireplace and a similar window as in the dining room with a view of the courtyard. The kitchen in this vacation rental is as impressive as it looks. With its black and white tiled floors and pale wood cabinetry, the kitchen has a light and airy feel to it. In here you will find all the necessary appliances needed to prepare meals, including a 4-burner gas stove with overhead stainless steel hood, a double door refrigerator, regular and microwave oven, plus a dishwasher. Also in this space is a table with seating for three plus a stool, a great place to sit and enjoy your breakfast or a cup of coffee. Bedroom 1, located near the office, features a double size bed, two armoires, fireplace, and an armchair that sits in front of large windows that welcome light into the room. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a twin bed, an armoire, and features a built-in bookcase and a similar window to what found in most of the rooms. Bedroom 3 has a double bed, a corner fireplace, desk, and armchair that sits in front of a window. Bedroom 4,has a single size bed and a large light inviting window. Bathroom 1, intended to be used by the occupants of Bedroom 1, features a tub with shower unit, dresser for additional storage, pedestal sink with overhead mirror, and an armoire. Bathroom 2 has a stall shower with handheld showerhead and a pedestal sink with overhead mirror as well. Bathroom 3, similar to Bathroom 2, has a stall shower and a pedestal sink. Bathroom 4, which is the WC for the apartment, has a sink with cabinet storage and mirror as well.
Outside the apartment you will find yourself in the heart of the 16th arrondissement, known for the location of the Trocadero, Eiffel Tower and the its surrounding Champs Elysée, and the Arc de Triomphe. The promenades at the Seine are a short walk away as well. Come here at night to see the Eiffel Tower glitter at the top of every hour – the view cannot be beat! At the Trocadéro Plaza, there are dozens of well-appointed Parisian cafés that give incredible views of the Eiffel Tower and other Paris sights. For a taste of authentic French patisseries, Carette is right on the circle and offers a wide variety of delicacies. The Chaillot Castle houses the National Theater along with 4 different museums, which will certainly entertain any art lover. The Passy Cemetery is close by as well. Stroll through this park-like cemetery to find the graves of some famous people, including French impressionist Édouard Manet, French composer Claude Debussy, and Princess of Monaco Ghislaine Dommanget. To explore some nearby neighborhoods Auteuil is just south of the apartment and offers even more options in terms of shopping and dining.
The nearest metro station is on the Trocadéro Plaza where the lines 6 and 9 can be accessed.

It is hard to overstate the quality and value of this apartment. It is a magnificent home in a wonderful building in a great neighborhood. It is very convenient to the metro (about 100 yards to Trocadero station) and about a 15-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The apartment is very large with a big, well-stocked kitchen and a full-size refrigerator. The apartment is very nicely decorated and has all amenities (save possibly air conditioning). It suited our group of six (family of 5 with children ages 9-13 plus friend age 17) very well with almost every bedroom having its own bathroom. The home is definitely lived in and everywhere are the reminders of being in someone's home, which we found to be warm and comforting. The owners are gracious and accommodating, meeting us on Sunday night for arrival and early Monday morning for departure. The owners are also fluent in English. |

Generally everything is fine. The apt is near the center and the subway station so it's easy to move everywhere. |

You're right, Dorottya, I had a little problem with my cleaning lady last summer, but it has since been resolved. As for the toilet, it is true there's only one as is clearly stated in the description. I hope this was not too great an inconvenience for you. |

Lovely, spacious apartment, great location. Thrill to see the Eiffel Tower everytime you stepped out the front door. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of light and fresh air. Building superintendent very helpful. Owner of apartment lovely. Mattress in master bedroom not comfortable; door to garbage in kitchen coming off hinges; owners clothes left in all drawers and wardrobes so had to live out of our suitcases for the most part. |

Further to this review, we contacted the owner of this apartment who assured us that he would make necessary repairs to the apartment and leave adequate space for future clients' belongings. Considering the subjective aspect of mattress preferences, the owner does not plan to replace the mattress at this time. |

Doing with one toilet for such a large space was challenging. Also there was no space provided for us to place our belongings. We were forced to live out of suitcases the whole time. The kitchen cooking utensils and cookery were less than was expected in comparison to the written description. There were no clear directions or expectations for departing. We were told we needed to clean the apartment ourselves before departing but with little to no detail of the expectation. We were uncertain if we were expected to launder linens and change beds. The fact we were expected to pay the full amount in cash (Euros) the day of arrival was surprising and stressful. Our currency is dollars. The access to internet was difficult to establish as there we incomplete information provided. |

These issues were brought to the owner's attention. While she said she would try to provide more storage space for future rentals, she objected/disagreed with the other claims. |

We had such a wonderful time in Paris made particularly special because of the beautiful apartment we stayed in in the 16th arrondisement [...] Beautiful large sunny rooms, comfortable accommodations, and a location [in Paris] that was superb. We walked out of the apartment on Bastille Day and saw the most spectacular fireworks display we'd ever seen! Many thanks for listing such a special and impressive place! |

The apartment was large and beautiful and well situated for our needs. Having said that I would add that the owners might have done a few things to make our stay more tenable. |

Further to this review, we contacted the owner of this vacation rental who confirmed the TV works fine and that the leak from the washer was repaired. He further stated he would leave instruction manual in English for the appliances and make sure more closet space is made available for future renters. |
