This apartment is near the open market, Marché d'Aligre, and not far from the historic Place de la Bastille where the Opera de Paris, considered one of the best in the world, is located. It was inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. Within walking distance is the royal Place des Vosges, the city's oldest and most beautiful square, where many historic personalities have lived. Built by Henri IV, its perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classic French architecture. There are many choices of restaurants, cafes, and other sorts of shops and essential services in the neighborhood.

Then a second gate opens into the courtyard.
The entrance door opens into the living room and the open kitchen.
The 18m2 (approx 193sq ft) living room has a French window with eastern exposure overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, an armchair, a console surmounted by a screen TV with international channels and a dining table with chairs.
The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with four vitro ceramic plates topped by an exhaust fan, an oven, a refrigerator, a little dishwasher and a coffee maker. There is also a little bar.
The 8m2 (approx 86sq ft) bedroom has a window with eastern exposure overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double size bed, a desk and a chair, a phone and a built in closet.
The bathroom has a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin, a heated towel rack and a toilet.
Heat and hot water are both gas.
For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro station is Reuilly-Diderot (lines 1 and 8).

Good apartment, well located. Cleaning could be done more thoroughly and the stone doorstep was broken (the owner has to take care of it) but no other cons. |

The apartment is great. Newly refurbished, it was very clean when we arrived. It is very close to the metro station and to a bakery and a supermarket. The owner, Joan, is very nice and helpful. If I go back to Paris, I will definitively go back to this apartment. Very good experience! |
