In the South of France, on the French Riviera, on a street full of buildings that cast rays of sunlight on a sunny day, a particular 4-story building faces east, housing this furnished studio apartment with one bathroom. It sits near the corner of Rue Verdi and Rue Berlioz in the city of Nice. The building has security and an elevator. Located on the first floor (equivalent to the second floor in the USA), this apartment rental has a west-facing terrace. It also has a washing machine.
Inside this furnished rental, the washing machine is tucked away in the bathroom, along with a shower. In the living room, hardwood flooring in a chevron pattern brings to the inside some of the intricate character so visible in the street-facing façade. Shelving space built into the wall adds to the utility of the room. A sofa folds out into a queen-size bed. Above it, a TV hangs on the wall. The open kitchen is a suitable place from which to fill the apartment with delicious aromas. There is an oven and also a microwave, a toaster, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, and—most aromatic of all—a coffeemaker. The apartment has air conditioning, as well.
If you are looking to take home some souvenirs, you might enjoy taking the 800-meter (around 0.5 mile) trip to Avenue Jean Médecin, a shopping hub in Nice. A 1.5-kilometer (around 0.9 mile) stroll beneath the balconies of Nice will take you to the Campus Trotabas of l’Université Côte d’Azur. A slightly longer walk, partly through tree-lined streets and passing le Jardin Alsace Lorraine at 350 meters (around 0.2 miles), will take you to le Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nice. 500 meters (around 0.3 miles) will take you to le Musée de la Villa Masséna. If you overshoot that, you will find yourself on the shore of the Mediterranean at Plage Blue Beach.
850 meters away (around 0.5 miles), you can hop on the L1 tram at Jean Médecin. At la Gare Nice-Ville, you can hop on the Intercités, TER, and TRG trains after a 600 meter (around 0.4 mile) walk. A 6.5-kilometer (around 4 miles) trek will take you to l’aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur (Nice Côte d’Azur Airport).
