This large studio of approximately 50 square meters has a large terrace (of about 20 sqm) and is located on the second French floor of a postwar building dating from the 1970's: Le Gray d'Albion. This residence with guardian is equipped with an escalator, an elevator, an intercom and a videophone system.
You enter the apartment through hallway (with a built-in closet) that leads to the living area. This large living room is furnished with a sofa, a lounge table and a dining table seating 4. There is a TV. On your right-hand side when you enter the apartment is a sleeping area with a double size trundle bed (that can make two singles) and a dresser.
The bathroom is off this sleeping area : it has a bathtub with shower and a washbasin. The toilet is separated in the hallway.
From the lounge, a French window gives access to the terrace that overlooks the street (east exposure). There, a table seating 4 is perfect for dinner alfresco.
The kitchen is pretty small but convenient tough: there is a stove, 4 electric burners, a refrigerator / freezer, a coffee maker, and a dishwasher.
The heating system can be converted to an air-conditioner during summertime, which is a good amenity on the French Riviera. Bed & bath linens are provided.
The closest parking lot is located under the residence. It is a paying parking lot.
The apartment is wonderfully located: the residence Le Gray d'Albion forms one full block, on La Croisette. The beach and the Palais des Festivals are across the street.
After W.W. II, Cannes quickly became the haunt of crowned heads and billionaires, then the city of Stars, Festivals and International Conventions. Mostly famous for its International Film Festival (in May) the town regularly hosts well-known stars in its many luxury Hotels. On La Croisette, the most famous fashion brands are represented: among others Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Hermès. Of course, restaurants and boutiques are all around. The white-sand beach across La Croisette is usually crowded but remains one of the most famous throughout the French Riviera.
The regional center and seat of the department, Nice, is 30 minutes to the east. Here, the Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur) has daily flights from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, you can range far and wide on day trips alone: Italy is only 1 hour away. Aix en Provence is 90 minutes distant.
