Wrap yourself around the pulse of the South Kensington borough of London in this affluent two bedroom furnished apartment. Located at Hyde Park Gate street and Queen’s Gate street, this property overlooks the leafy green expanses of Kensington Garden and Hyde Park. This refurbished property, built in 1864, has kept many of its old world charms during its remodeling, including the recreation of its original floor tiles, its intricate plaster moldings, and a selection of period furnishing. Everything about this property speaks to opulence, from the sweeping staircases to the large rooms and detailed furnishings. The apartment sleeps four, with one bedroom having a queen bed and the other having two single beds; there are three bathrooms, including two full (each with a tub and shower) and one half. The kitchen is fully outfitted with most accoutrements you would need to prepare your own meals, including an oven, fridge/freezer, and attractive Villeroy and Boch china and crystal glassware upon which to serve your creations.
South Kensington itself is a wonderful location for many of the favorites that London has to offer, including shopping, dining, and historic places to visit. The borough of Knightsbridge with its upscale shopping (including Chanel, Prada, and Giorgio Armani) neighbors South Kensington to the east (and is only about five streets in that direction), while West Kensington and its attractions is about the same distance to the west. The Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as other attractions, are virtually right around the corner, about two streets south of your apartment. While exploring the immediate area you will find restaurants, pubs, and bars to satisfy your palate, all wrapped in the old-world charm of the area.
Your explorations needn’t be limited just to the area; there are plenty of other spots throughout London and beyond to explore as well! The High Street Kensington subway station is about 800 meters (approximately .5 miles) to the west, while the Gloucester Road and South Kensington stations are about 300 meters further (about .2 miles) but to the south. Either will give you access throughout London, as well as to other transportation options should your travels take you further out. There is a bus stop conveniently located immediately in front of the property, as well as several more throughout the area, and taxis are never far. The property concierge is prepared to help you map out your explorations and plan your days accordingly, should you wish it. London and all it has to offer awaits you!
