Near Hackney, the historical neighborhood of Shoreditch was the meeting grounds for artists in Elizabethian London. In the 1990s, after a long decline, the neighborhood went through a renovation with the urban-grunge scene repurposing the industrial buildings into eclectic lofts, open offices, and hip nightclubs. For the full Shoreditch experience, grab breakfast at buzzworthy Cereal Killer Café where you can mash together different cereals and toppings and down them with funky cocktails. Spend the day at Dennis Severs’ House which is an experimental museum providing an intimate past to a family in London’s past. A trip to Shoreditch is not complete with a night out on the town at one of the neighborhood’s many trendy bars such as Beach Blanket Babylon for boho chic décor and lots of dancing.
