My overall experience at 58th Street & 6th Avenue was fantastic. You cannot possibly find a better location and the availability of Central Park, Museums, Restaurants, Theaters and so close to the subway and buses. The only two things that were not perfect were the 2 (sometimes loud) young girls living in the apartment next store and the (sometimes frequent) smell of marijuana in the outside courtyard area that made me close the windows. Other than that my stay was perfect... |

Took a while to get used to the small space, but I guess for an apartment in Manhattan, it was big enough. The amenities were fine, all appliances were in good working condition. Ideal location. The only 5 problems I faced, were the lack of gas (for 2 months), the fact that the front door can lock in on itself, the placing of the toilet with relation to the sink, making it impossible to sit straight, kitchen bulb not working even when changed, lack of daylight in the apartment. I don't think half of these can be changed, anyway. Apart from that I had a pleasant stay, the apartment was well furnished with a pretty feminine touch. In the end I could call it my 'cosy little Manhattan home'. Rocio was a most pleasant landlady - very sweet, understanding and helpful. The concierges were also very nice. Thank you NY Habitat for finding me a decent place to live at during my stay in New York. |
