This studio apartment on 40th Street & 8th Avenue is in the heart of Midtown West Manhattan, but has the room you would expect to find in Brooklyn. Located on the third floor of a low-rise apartment building, you will have all of the convenience of being minutes away from the action.
This studio apartment for rent is fully furnished in a traditional style with gold walls and glossy hardwood floors. The apartment receives beautiful natural light from its two north-facing windows. Expect much more furniture than a typical studio including a queen bed, full closet, dining table for two, and convertible sofa bed. The kitchen has complementing oak cabinets and full-sized appliances. A bright bathroom is off to the side with a tub/shower combination and separate section for the toilet.
The apartment in Midtown West is blocks away from Times Square, one of the most iconic spots in New York City. Around the block on 8th Avenue are the Port Authority Bus Terminal and New York Times Building (0.1mi/170m). There are a number of attractions, restaurants, and bars in the area, but head over to Hell’s Kitchen for a bit less chaotic of an atmosphere. A great neighborhood bar with a never-ending beer list can be found at The Pony Bar (0.6mi/900m). Around the corner, spend the night striking out at Frames Bowling Lounge (0.1mi/240m). For access to the rest of NYC, most major subway lines are at your fingertips including the A/C/E at 42 Street / 8 Avenue : Port Authority Bus Terminal (29m/95ft) and the 1/2/3/N/Q/R/W/S/7 at 42 Street / 7 Avenue / Broadway : Times Square (0.4mi/600m). Yeah, we meant it when we said a lot.

The apartment is a spacious, open-plan studio with a large bathroom, perfect for either a single person or a couple. The closet is spacious and well-placed to fit in to the apartment's aesthetic. The kitchen is very convenient and contains all the necessary tools needed for basic cooking, including enough storage space for all your food. It also comes with a number of appliances adding to the convenience of the apartment. In what is clearly an area of New York with limited space and very high demand for accommodation, this apartment boasts an impressive size. The apartment is also well-lit, with two windows overlooking the street providing natural sunlight throughout the day. The owner is also incredibly accommodating and welcoming, being available for your assistance throughout your stay. I highly recommend this apartment to leisure and business travellers alike, as the area is not only central but also very well connected by public transport. |

The location of the apartment is perfect. Near Times Square, small supermarkets, drugstores and cozy restaurants. You can find pretty much anything within a very short distance. The downside is the constantly noise from traffic and people on the street. But since I arrived late and tired from work, I was able to sleep without much trouble. Also, the apartment could be unbearablly warm during winter, but you can always contact the landlord and he will always help you with whatever you need. |
