This fully furnished studio apartment is located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. It is on the 1st floor (considered the ground floor by Europeans) of a building with a buzzer-intercom security system at the entrance. The furnished rental is lined with hardwood floors.
The open air-conditioned living area is furnished with a double-sized bed, a double sofa bed, nightstand, chair, floor lamp, and wall-mounted mirrors. It is equipped with a built-in closet that provides ample storage space (hanging rods, drawers, and shelves) and a television. The kitchen has white tiled floors and matching white cupboards, counters, and appliances. Basic pots, pans, dishes and utensils are provided. Home-cooked meals can be served at the breakfast bar or served at the space-saving folding table with two large wings, providing ample space and chairs for four people. The bathroom includes a bathtub-shower, WC, washbasin, and mirror.
Please note that the apartment doesn't have much natural light because is at the back of the building.
Situated on Bleecker Street & MacDougal Street, this alcove studio apartment puts you within close reach of many popular attractions in Greenwich Village and other areas of NYC. You’ll be near academic institutions, such as the well respected New York University and Pace University. If you’re a ‘foodie’, you’ll definitely enjoy trying out all of the good dining spots nearby. Head to ‘ino (0.2 miles) for an affordable Italian meal, 10 Downing Food and Wine (440 ft), a more sophisticated restaurant with locally-sourced American Nouveau dishes, or Ample (0.4 miles), if you’re in the mood for a mix of Japanese and Thai cuisines. Looking for a sweet treat? Don’t miss out on the amazing cupcakes from the crowd-pleasing bakery, Magnolia, just a half-mile from the rental! The Manhattan landmark, Washington Square Park (3 blocks north), is a great relaxation spot with chess tables and regular street performers. It is site of the famous Washington Square Arch, which is featured in numerous movies and TV shows. “The Village”—as it’s often called by locals—is in between the East Village and the West Village and close to other interesting neighborhoods like Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, Gramercy Park, NoHo, NoLita, Bowery, and Soho. These lively areas provide plentiful cultural, entertainment, and shopping opportunities.
Exploring the rest of the city is easy, as the apartment is conveniently close to the 1 train at the Houston Street / Varick Street subway station, as well as the A, B, C, D, E, F, and M trains at the West 4 Street / 6 Avenue station.
