Our stay went rather well, the apartment is located about 30 minutes from Manhattan by subway (it is well served with a subway station close by), it is quiet and there is air conditioning. There is a mini-market open 24/7 in the neighborhood, as well as a few fast-food restaurants and other stores.
On the other hand, there aren't enough dishes for a family of 6, some lamps don't work and it's impossible to throw toilet paper down the toilet.
The owner communicates and is responsive to emails and answers questions. We had a pleasant stay and we enjoyed exploring New York!

Thank you for your review and we appreciate the comments. Our aim is to provide the best client experience and so we provide our contact information should clients need assistance or have questions. Had we been immediately made aware of these minor issues they would've been promptly remedied to ensure a smooth experience.
In the past some guests have thrown kitchen paper towels down the toilet causing a toilet back up and overflow. I provide paper towels for easy clean up in the kitchen. I placed a sign in the bathroom that says: "Do not throw paper towel in toilet". It doesn't mean not to use the toilet tissue provided for use in the toilet. I will change the sign to make it clear for everyone that I mean kitchen towels.
The housekeeper did report finding the crockery and cutlery in the garbage that former guests have thrown away and would explain the shortage.
We have since restocked.

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the apartment, and enjoyed the close proximity to Prospect Park and the train station.
The property was exactly as pictured, and came stocked with linens, cookware, and other home goods, which allowed us to quickly feel at home.
The property owners are lovely people, and responded quickly to any concerns we had.

The apartment is very comfortable. The furnishings are in good condition and appear just like the photos. The apartment is located in a convenient area with grocery stores, laundry mats, restaurants and a subway station nearby.

We had an issue with a light fixture and internet, but the landlords corrected the problems very quickly. We did notice the smells in the exerior hallways from the Indian restaurant as mentioned in other reviews, but the smell was not unbearable.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

The apartment was in a great location very close to subway, supermarket, service station, restaurants, stores etc. The apartment is on the 2nd floor above an Indian restaurant, so it smelled of food quite a lot in the staircase. However you couldn't notice anything at all in the apartment.

The staircase is quite steep and narrow, so it was sometimes a bit difficult to take all the shopping up to the apartment without any mishap. Especially upon arrival and departure, with all the luggage, it was a bit of a problem. The apartment is very nicely equipped with everything you need e.g. television, telephone, Internet, smoke detectors and what was very important kitchenware, dishes and towels.

The rooms are quite spacious and you have enough space for your luggage. A small downside were the floors as they always creaked at specific spots regardless of how careful we were when we walked on them.

The owners themselves were super nice. When we arrived they helped us with our luggage and were always attentive to our questions or little issues with the apartment. When our telephone and smoke detector broke, they came straight away and brought new ones. We were late with the rent once and that was no problem for them either.

Thank you so much for your great review Yara and we are happy you enjoyed your stay in our apartment. I'm glad you found the apartment clean, comfortable and with all the amenities that lends to all the comforts of home.

Of course, our apartments are among the many mixed use buildings that line this commercial district; constructed to allow easy access, via a flight of stairs, to the restaurant downstairs and across the street, shops, banks, health center, parks, subways and buses in the neighborhood and all over the city. Like you, all our clients find our locale ideal and we are fortunate to be a part of this older, long standing, vibrant community that offers such convenience and diversity.

While we are unable to alter the sights, sounds and scents that's a vital part of NYC, our objective is to achieve greater client satisfaction through the improved quality of our service. We recognize that as an older building repairs will be needed occasionally so we will undergo renovations to restore the floors this summer.

We encourage and value feedback; as your comments assists us to achieve our goals. Thank you once again. Sure was a pleasure having your group.

Overall speaking we were very happy with the accommodation. The landlady was very helpful both at our arrival as well as our departure. We arrived late in the afternoon and she waited for us. A bowl with fresh fruit and also cold water was prepared. That was a nice start. We could also depart late in the afternoon, which was a great for us. So we didn't need to stay at the airport. During the stay she responded quickly to our questions. The Internet connection was gone for one day. We called her and it was immediately fixed. In general, we had a great time.

New York Habitat services were professional. Marijn did a great job. The procedures were clear and quick.
