Welcome to this contemporary one bedroom apartment in Manhattan’s Upper East Side! Sitting amongst some of the city’s finest parks, beloved museums, and an elite group of locals, this modernly furnished home is ideal for travelers wishing to live in the most prestigious area of New York City.
The one bedroom apartment is located on the top floor of a renovated five-story prewar walk-up brownstone building. For your privacy, a buzz-in security system is in place.
Hard wood floors, modern amenities, and contemporary accessories are featured in this basic abode. In the living room, three large windows face the street, allowing ventilation. Some highlights of the home include a flat-screen television with cable, full-sized convertible sofa bed, and a commodious eat-in kitchen with prewar-style black-and-white tiled floors.
Granite countertops in the large kitchen accommodate space for easy preparation of meals. A small round table sits near a window awaiting romantic meals.
The bedroom is accessible via French doors in the living room. One full-sized bed and fresh linens are provided.
New York’s Upper East Side is internationally known for being a chic and upwardly mobile NYC community. Besides the many celebrities that live here (including Mariah Carey, Woody Allen, and Madonna!) there are a hub of famous attractions, superb restaurants, and numerous surrounding subway stations to take you anywhere in the city. - Carl Shurz Park: This gorgeous stretch of greenery overlooks the East River. The official mayor’s residence, the Gracie Mansion, is located here. 0.2mi/280m. Accessible via foot.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art: This is one of the largest and most influential art museums in the world. 0.9mi/1.4km. Accessible via foot or bus.
- Frick Collection: This small residence-turned-museum features a variety of works spanning from the Renaissance era to the late 19th century. 1.5mi/2.3km. Accessible via train.
For public transportation around Manhattan and into other New York boroughs, The closest subway station is 86 Street / 2nd Avenue (0.3mi/500m) offers the Q train for access into Downtown Manhattan. Also, walk to 86 Street / Lexington Avenue for the 4, 5, and 6 trains (0.6mi/950m).

I spent 3 months in this apartment. I loved it. The landlord is very polite and receptive. The apartment is in excellent condition. The area is very quiet but there are many restaurants and bars as well as various activities nearby. Subway station is less than 5 minutes away. Good quality furniture and very nice decoration. If I were to come back to New York, I would rent this wonderful apartment in a heartbeat. |

The apartment is amazing, very spacious and comfortable. However, there is no privacy, the owner comes in when he wants and sometimes with no previous call. Finally, he didn?t give me receipts for the exit cleaning fee, and I got less money than I should when he returned the deposit. |

Grecia, thank you for your feedback. I am glad the apartment was to your liking. I generally only come to the guests apartment when something needs repairing, and that is why I am surprised that you think I come to the apartment when I want. The few times I did come were when you asked me to get something in the apartment fixed. I am sorry and will be more diligent in the future about making sure you are aware of when I will be arriving to repair something. Lastly, I am sorry to hear that you were surprised about the deductions from the security deposit for the cleaning fee when it is stated in the contract. In the future, I will inform my guests about that clause in the contract, so that they will be sure to see it. Thanks again. |

This apartment is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants and different supermarkets. It takes you about 10 minutes to walk to the next subway-station. We enjoyed our stay and would come again. The owner is a very nice and helpful person and we really recommend this place! |
