Between two of Manhattan's most iconic parks, Washington Square and Union Square, you will find this fully furnished one bedroom apartment in a townhouse building. Not far from NYU, this Greenwich Village abode has more than location going for it -- it also offers a private balcony, a marble-lined bathroom and courtyard views away from the street.
The 4th floor location of this apartment (which would be the 3rd for Europeans), allows natural light to filter into the apartment unobstructed by other buildings and provides a pleasant standpoint for views from the balcony. However, please note that this is a walk-up building. There is a video intercom system for screening and allowing entrance to your guests.
Inside the apartment, you will find some unique touches that add cachet to this furnsihed rental. There is a striking black decorative fireplace that nicely offsets the grey walls and white moldings. A bold red Smeg refrigerator gives the compact kitchen area a vintage feel, however there is nothing old fashioned about the microwave and coffee maker provided. The bedroom area is simply fursnihed with a double size bed, storage cabinet and closet, with French doors that provide entrance to the balcony and double as windows to allow in illumination.
This apartment is located on East 9th Street in Greenwich Village, just 3 blocks north of Washington Square Park (less than 300m), with its classical marble arch featured in countless movies and television shows. NYU students, street performers and tourists make this area a bustling hotspot. Notable restaurants such as Babbo (fine Italian) to Blue Hill (New American) to Ipuddo (ramen cafe) are mixed in among the cafes and bars that line the streets. Union Square is also within walking distance, just 5 blocks north (500m), where there are major stores such as Whole Foods Market, Forever 21 and Best Buy, as well as movie theatres and even bowling at Bowlmor!
For straphangers, subway access is never far! The nearest stations are at East 8th Street (.2miles/400m), serving the N/R lines, and West 4th Street (.4mi/650m), serving the A/B/C/D/E and F/M lines, offering a plethora of options to make commuting around New York City easier.
