Take advantage of this phenomenal fully furnished duplex apartment, located in the penthouse of a 20th century building at Smith Street and 3rd Street in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. Luxurious amenities like hardwood flooring, a jacuzzi bathtub, central AC, and the roof terrace/sun deck make this a unique three bedroom apartment rental.
The lower floor is home to the living-dining room, the kitchen and the one of the three bedrooms. The open kitchen, equipped with all the necessary amenities and even a dishwasher, flows into the dining-living space, where two sofa beds and a dining table make accommodating you and your guests comfortable and easy. Large windows onto the street illuminate the natural wood of the stairs, flooring and mezzanine construction. A desk with a computer and printer is also provided.
The upper floor has the two other bedrooms, each with a queen bed (160 cm) and their own closets. Please note, the ceilings on the upper floor are low, at less than 7 feet. One of the bedrooms provides direct access to your private roof deck on top of this three story building. The panoramic views of New York City are stunning and you can take advantage of the barbecue and picnic table.
The Carroll Gardens area is part of a larger collective of neighborhoods known as BoCoCa (Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens), fast becoming one of Brooklyn's trendiest areas. The older industrial feel of the area, evident around the nearby Gowanus Canal (.25mi/600m) is giving way to a revitalized neighborhood, as demonstrated in the Gowanus Industrial Arts Complex (.4mi/650m), and there are many exciting restaurants in the area, like Frankie's 457 and Seersucker within a few blocks of the apartment. This neighborhood is also known for its parks, from the smaller, nearby Carroll Park (.1mi/250m) to the more famous Prospect Park (2.6km/1.6mi).
Heading out of the neighborhood either to the rest of New York or farther away is easy, as the nearest subway (F, G lines) is located at Carroll Street (.1mi/220m) and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway is just a few blocks away.
