Nice little apartment in a great area, however you should be aware that there is a live music bar right underneath so it gets really loud in the evenings. Amenities were in good shape, cleaniness ok.

Hey Jonathan,

Thanks for your review

Regarding the live music, yes there is a bar down the building, during weekend they use to have live music out because s you know was no indoor seating?
We have double pane windows in all apartments and never had any complains in the past, our apartments are quiet but like every NYC apartments it can get noisy from time to time.

It was pleasure hosting you and your Girlfried perhaps we can have you again in the future.

Best regards,

Eran

The best thing about this sweet apartment was its 3rd floor view looking out huge windows past the branches of a tree over 9th Avenue all the way to the twinkling lights of Broadway one avenue east. Sun floods in in the mornings, which makes any small space beautiful. If you love Broadway, you will love the 5 block walk to the TKTS booth.

Newcomers to New York will be shocked by how little space the monthly rent here buys you, but given the competition in this neighborhood, these 2 rooms and bath are downright spacious. The kitchen space is an oddly designed long galley off the living room, but it does include a washer/dryer combo. The bath is great and the bedroom is delightful if you don't mind the door not closing due to the corner of the bed getting in the way. (Yes, space is tight in the bedroom.) The living room TV has all the basic cable choices and works great. (I wish there were a way to watch TV from the bedroom too though.)

Furniture is functional, colors are light and airy, the elevator is zippy, and water pressure is swell. I'm happy to hear nighttime traffic outside my windows, but those who need complete quiet to sleep might be put off by the 9th Avenue taxi fleet as well as the occasional ruckus from bar patrons down on the street. I'd be happy to stay hear again.

Hi Steve,

thank you for your review. I'm glad you made the best of your stay! I understand the spaces in NY are relatively smaller then other states or continents, but each town has it's pros and cons. In this case, the new renovation provided new stainless steel appliances plus washer and dryer which is considered a luxury. The apartment space in my opinion is standard for New York one bedrooms - around 550-580 Square Feet.

The noise level is always a little higher if the apartment is facing the avenue, as it is in this case. It's a fact and that is NY, this is city that never sleeps... Even this building is relatively new and the windows are modern, they are not completely sound proof. The floor to ceiling size and Juliette balcony lets the sun in and with the combination with the light colors of the furniture it feel nice and airy and romantic :)

We can put 2nd TV in the bedroom. I wish you'd requested it! I'll be happy to accommodating you on your next visit. And btw. we have loft studio apartment in this building facing the inside of the building with large balconies that are more quiet then the 1 beds.

Wishing you and you family all the best and hope to see you in NY again some day.

Best,
Tereza
