The apartment was great and the owners were even better. The place looks nicer than the photos as the owners have updated the bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed their garden. They provide amble linens, dishware and cooking supplies- also, they had a full stock of spices, which I appreciated. The apartment is on Lenox Ave, a naturally busy street, so street noise is inevitable. However, there isn't excessive noise from those living in the building or adjunct buildings. You're conveniently close to the subway, Whole Foods, excellent restaurants. I highly recommend the small Italian restaurant next door- excellent food and great people. The owner was also quick to return my deposit. I would stay there again without hesitation!

This is a very nice apartment.

I took off one star for quietness because there is a cafe next door and the bathroom hand dryer can sometimes be heard through the wall. But there are no other noise issues in the building.

The pictures are slightly out of date. The apartment is still in great shape, but the owners have rearranged and changed some of the furniture. For example, where the pictures show a couch in the kitchen, there is instead a very large console/shelf/dresser/something. And the bedroom furniture and TV have been moved from what the pictures show. The bed is now where the pictures show a couch.

The owners are nice and easy to work with. Fantastic location. And the garden space is nice (and unheard of for a NYC apartment!).

This was a beautiful unit with great hosts. I moved in when recovering from an injury. This place, and the landlords, were a total godsend.

To whom it may concern,

We lived in this wonderful Brownstone house as a family with our 1yr old toddler. The apartment features 1 BR facing the street and kitchen/living room with direct access to a cozy, serene and private garden. The two rooms are conjoined by a small hallway and separate bathroom.

It was an absolute pleasure living in this wonderful home. The apartment has AC in the summer and radiators in the winter. It comes fully furnished and all equipment works perfectly.

o The bedroom has comfy bed with a good hard matrass, which easily sleeps two grown ups. You'll find plenty of cupboard space for clothes and private articles. The bedroom is quiet, though a light sleeper might want earplugs. Room also features a sofa and TV.
o The kitchen has all the amenities that you need: A modern refrigerator and freezer. A big gas stove (5 burners) and oven. Again lots of cupboard space with plates, cups and glasses, bowls, pots and pans, toaster, coffee machine etc. For eating there is a table for two people and 4 bar stools by the kitchen island. You also have sofa and TV and new washing machine and dryer.
o The bathroom features a nice bathtub, toilet and a sink with cupboard space.

The apartment is close to public transportation (metro to Midtown, Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn) and bus to LGA. Living in Harlem was a delightful experience as it offers great restaurants, atmosphere and life on the streets, culture and music venues. Central park is also only a short walk from the apartment. Whole Foods and other nice grocery stores are in close proximity too. Harlem is a safe area and we never felt insecure living or walking around.

The landlords are without a doubt the reason for why our stay in Harlem was so fantastic. The kindness we were met with is beyond comparison and it is with much sadness that we leave this ideal home. The landlords are kind and warm-hearted people with a great smile and sense of humor. They have truly made a home of this apartment and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. If you ever need advice on things to see/do, places to eat/go then the landlords are always helpful with information and suggestions. If something needed fixing the landlords were always quick and very responsive. They will respect your privacy but don't cheat yourself to inviting them down for an AM coffee or a PM dark ale beer?

In short, you will not find any other place in NYC that offers a cozy apartment with garden access in a culturally rich area and with such lovely landlords. This home is unique.

I had a nice stay in this apartment. The amenities are excellent, and the apartment is close to the subway and the M60 bus stop to LaGuardia Airport. The Whole Foods in Harlem will be right across the street, and various other kinds of shopping are nearby. The apartment is also very convenient to the Apollo Theater, the Studio Museum of Harlem, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the Magic Johnson Theater, and Marcus Garvey Park. I certainly got my fair share of street noise, but it is New York City. I got accustomed to it quickly and learned to tune it out.
