This fully furnished one bedroom apartment is located on the 3rd floor (considered 2nd by Europeans) of a 5-story, low-rise brick elevator building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The building conveniently has on-site laundry facilities.
The air-conditioned living room of the apartment has two windows with a northeastern exposure and view of the tree-lined street below. The room has hardwood floors, a cozy rug and decorative brick fireplace to really make you feel at home. Relax on the sofa with a good book or watch some TV after a long day of exploring New York City. A large mirror in between the two windows reflects the dining table that seats four and the lofted storage space on the other side of the room. Beneath this loft space is an open kitchen, which has a window with southwestern exposure. The air-conditioned bedroom of the apartment also has a window facing west, and features a double bed, closet space and dresser. The bathroom contains a washtub plus shower, WC and washbasin.
This New York apartment can be found on East 92nd Street & Lexington Avenue in Manhattan's Upper East Side. There are many great restaurant and shopping options on Lexington, Park and Madison Avenues. There is a Starbucks right around the corner from the apartment, where you can get some coffee to wake you up in the morning. Just two blocks away, you will find the lovely bakery, Crumbs, which sells some amazing cupcakes. Just 4 blocks west from the apartment is Central Park, while 3 blocks to the east you will find the East River walk that offers an amazing view of Queens across the water. The Upper East Side is also famous for its many museums. Among them are The Guggenheim Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and 92nd Street Y Art Center, which is only 2 blocks from the one bedroom apartment. To commute uptown or downtown, you can walk to the 96 Street / Lexington Avenue station (5 blocks), where you can catch the 6 train. Alternatively, you can walk 6 blocks south to 86 Street / Lexington Avenue, where you can take the 4, 5, and 6 trains.
