Make you home in one of the rooms for rent on Madison Avenue and 109th Street, part of the East Harlem neighborhood in New York! This three bedroom apartment share is just one block from Central Park and is thoughtfully decorated and offers desks and storage in each room. The building itself also offers nice amenities: there are shared laundry facilities and a fitness gym on the top floor (6th), and an elevator will take you to this apartment on the 5th floor (considered the 4th floor by Europeans). Additionally there is a rooftop terrace shared amongst the residents of the building, and a video-intercom system to provide entry for your guests.
Bedroom #1 is the largest room, with a queen size bed and a private balcony. The closet has built-in shelving that is perfect for storing your belongings. The black furnishings contrast nicely with the light gray walls, and two windows with shades allow in light, in addition to that provided by the glass door to the balcony.
Bedroom #2 has a double size bed, a closet with a storage unit within, and features a wall-mounted flat screen television. The taupe and white striped walls compliment the natural colored wood floors.
Bedroom #3 is found off of the living room, separated by sliding paneled doors, and is furnished with a single size bed, a storage closet and a desk with extra shelves. Please note that the doors are somewhat translucent, so privacy may be limited while people are in the living room.
The living room of this apartment mostly functions as a dining area, with a table for four, perfect for enjoying meals made in the fully equipped kitchen! The galley-style kitchen has a gas stove, a dishwasher and a coffee maker, as well as a toaster and blender. Down the hall you will find the bathroom, lined with lovely marble. All these rooms are all shared amongst the roommates.
These rooms for rent are well situated for discovering New York City! Just a block from the iconic Central Park and north of the Upper East Side, this building in East Harlem is also just three blocks from the subway station. Central Park provides a great place for picnics or jogs, and if you walk along Madison Avenue you will find everyday amenities like delis, pharmacies and supermarkets.
The nearest subway is the 6 train, which can take you southward down Manhattan's East Side -- past Hunter College, through Grand Central Station, Union Square, SoHo and all the way down to Brooklyn!
