The apartment share is on the second floor of a three bedroom duplex that dates back to 1901. You will enjoy your stay at this three bedroom apartment in Brooklyn—the residential neighborhood of East New York is calm and offers many conveniences. You can find a pharmacy on Pitkin Avenue (5 blocks) or walk 3-4 blocks to Sutter Avenue, where you can do your grocery shopping at the supermarket or wash your clothes at the Laundromat. There are several eateries nearby, mostly delis and fast foods, among them Domino’s Pizza (3 blocks), McDonald’s (8 blocks), Dunkin’ Donuts / Baskin Robbins (9 blocks), and Popeye’s (11 blocks). If you want to engage in some outdoor activities, visit the nearby parks, such as Linton Park (3 blocks) and Highland Park (1.4 miles). Notable natives of East New York include actors Tony Danza and Steve Buscemi. Mass public transit is readily accessible from your room for rent. The nearest subway stations are Van Siclen Avenue / Pitkin Avenue (C train)—4 blocks, and Van Siclen Avenue / Livonia Avenue (2,3,4, and 5 trains)—6 blocks. The latter offers express trains that can take you to other parts of Brooklyn and NYC and will have you in downtown Manhattan within 35 minutes!

The kitchen really needs redoing as it can't be used. I have to say the owner is a very nice and polite man. |

Currently there is no access to the kitchen of this apartment. The owner is in the process of looking into having workers come in to remodel the kitchen and will inform New York Habitat when the work is complete so that we can get updated photos. New York Habitat will ensure that all prospective renters are aware of this information. |
