Everything was fine, the only downside would be the quality of the sofa bed mattress, not very comfortable!
The apartment is very well equipped and well located close to the subway. Quiet neighborhood and owner very attentive to guests' needs.
Recommended.

The particularly warm welcome of the landlady greatly contributed to our satisfaction. She took the time to discuss with us, to give advice on sights to see and also... to provide us with enough food for several breakfasts, as she is a very generous person.
The apartment is spacious and pleasant. The area is great, with subway, taxis and grocery stores nearby. Thanks to the landlady, we got in touch with a taxi driver who was at our "disposal"

Very clean apartment, 50 m from a subway station, very quiet area even late at night. The landlady is adorable, very helpful and speaks French? If I had to come back to New York, I would rent this apartment again.

This was our third stay in this apartement. Like the last two times we felt like beeing home from the first second. The apartement is clean, the neighbarhood is quiet and the subway station is just a few steps away. So, it?s just perfekt for a wonderful stay in New York.
But the greatest thing about this apartement are the owners. It?s really like visiting very good friends.
So if you want to have a great time in an awesome city with very nice people, take this apartment. You might even get an ice cream cake!!!

The vacation rental was very good in all aspects. The accomodation owner was also very good, nice and liked to discuss about any subject that she regognized we happened to be interested in.
We felt welcomed, We got reccomendations of the best way to take the bus or subway in Manhattan and to the airport. Tourist information and also how to find a better way in Manhattan during the popes visit when road where closed and even parts of places we had planned to see. We where also recommended a church to listen to gospel and many other tip that had a importance for us regarding transportation, food, restaura ts, shopping and other things to discover.

This is a lovely light, spacious, quiet apartment located in a great position 1 minute from the subway. The owner is really helpful and friendly. The beds are very comfortable, there's masses of storage space and it's nice being on the top floor with good views of the street. We had a great stay here and would thoroughly recommend it.

Overall the apartment was great! I would definitely stay again without question. The apartment was very clean which is a plus for me. For a New York apartment and for the price, the size of the space was what I expected. I think if the owner invested in central air it would make it a perfect stay.

The neighborhood was nice. My family and I walked around at night without any issues. As you walk a few blocks in either direction there may be people "hanging out" but they are harmless. It is expected in an urban environment. And besides, police are everywhere. The subway is just across the street which was extremely convenient. We used the subway every day.

When it comes to quiet/loud you have to remember that you are in NY, so anything can happen. While we were there a contractor had to jackhammer the street to make sewer repairs so that was very loud in the morning as it was right in front of our building. But again, on the weekend and holiday, the neighborhood was peaceful.

Also, NY street parking is a bit different than Chicago in that there are certain days where you are permitted to park on certain sides of the street (this is due to street cleaning). So you have to be sure to move your car on the designated days. However, even this was not a tremendous hassle. I moved my car early in the morning and enjoyed a nice scenic walk back to my apartment. The building owner was very, very nice and very helpful. Our car stalled the morning we were leaving...we suspect because it had been very hot that week and we hadn't driven anywhere the entire week, so the battery drained. Neither she nor I had jumper cables. She advised us to stop a taxi and ask them to provide a jump, which is exactly what we did, and we were on our way in no time. We are grateful for that advice.

Again, I would gladly stay again if I brought my entire family. If it were just my wife and I, I might choose something closer towards the city ONLY because of variety and access to restaurants. A place closer towards the city of just two people might cost the same as something a little further for a family of four.

This was a great apartment we had a great time and would highly recommend to friends.

This apartment is perfect for a family. The location is close enough to the action with a subway meters away, but quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. The host is very friendly and full of very useful information. The small supply of groceries and toiletries on arrival was a lovely surprise.

The apartment made us feel like we were living like a local New Yorker, and grocery supplies are conveniently close. The area is very safe and we found locals to be friendly and welcoming.

We would definitely stay again.

Perfect, warm welcome, considerate hostess, we enjoyed the welcome breakfast and the taxi reservation upon departure. To be recommended (the hostess speaks French).

The accommodation is a stone's throw from a subway line that serves Manhattan (Times Square is 20 minutes away from the moment you close the door), Brooklyn (Barclay's Center etc.), the Bronx (Yankee Stadium) and JFK airport directly. We found a fridge that was filled enough for our first breakfast (for 5!)

The accommodation has wifi, which is great to make plans for the next day and keep in touch. Excellent welcome, the hostess isn't sparing with advice and is very responsive via email or text. As for the rest, everything is exactly as advertised.

Everything went very smoothly. The host lives in the house. However, you don't necessarily come across him. Broken light bulbs were promptly replaced. The accommodation has everything you may need, even coffee :-) as well as washing powder and cleaning products. For German users though, there weren't enough thick allergy blankets, so we had to resort to simple covers. Maybe this could have been resolved with the host.

On the whole, the accommodation is very cozy. You immediately feel home. For five though, it is a bit tight and lacks soundproofing, yet still manageable. The accommodation is located right by the subway /bus stop. The bus even takes you directly to Guggenheim or the Met museums.

All shopping facilities are just a couple of streets away in Harlem itself. There are also simple burger stores. You can find quality cooking on the way to 125th Street.

Our stay here at this apartment was wonderful! We loved having a place to come "home" to each night after exploring NYC. The 2 bedroom apartment was roomy and perfect for our family of four to spread out. Our hostess has thought of everything when furnishing the apartment, from the coffee to the laundry detergent to the milk, juice, eggs, and bread waiting for us in the refrigerator upon our arrival. Wow!

My family (two daughters, ages 10 and 15) felt very safe and we didn't have any concerns about the neighborhood. It was very friendly and inviting and gave us all a unique taste of what living in a NYC neighborhood is like--something you don't get from staying in a hotel.

We appreciated having the subway only a block away, making it easy to navigate to all parts of the city. Although the apartment was on the north side of the city, it was a quick and easy subway ride there. When coming home at night, it was nice to escape the noise and traffic of the city and come home to a quiet place.

We spent 6 wonderful nights and our hostess was very helpful; whether it was giving us suggestions to restaurants, directions to locations, or where to rent bikes for the day, she felt like our own personal concierge. We could text or call her at any time and she was sincerely always happy to help.

She truly became a friend to our family and we will always treasure our time in NYC because of her and her beautiful home!

Beautiful vacation rental, very comfortable, well equipped and spacious for a stay for four. Excellent location as it is very quiet and the subway that goes to Manhattan is very close... not forgetting the hostess's kindness! Lastly, in a word:: PERFECT.... We'll certainly rent it again if we have the opportunity to go back to New York.

Super kind owner; she already had given us useful information before our arrival and remained available during our stay. We felt as though we were staying at a friends' place! The accommodation is big enough, tastefully appointed and is located straight next to a subway station which was our starting point to explore the whole city!

Excellent welcome from owner, both before (email communications) and during the stay. We were 4. Space is functional and comfortable, the neighborhood is very nice and quiet.

We were there at the time of Sandy and were not inconvenienced at all. Some trouble getting connected to the Internet, especially at night. But it is the only difficulty we had during our stay.

The apartment is not bad but is not well maintained. The windows don't work well, much of a slapdash job, some of the furniture is damaged. Cleanliness was good for a user's standard level but the dust and cobwebs could be removed from the ceiling and sprinkler system.

The landlady is very nice and caring when you speak with her. The shortcomings are unfortunate and superfluous.

The owner was the perfect host, on top of all the details when we checked in. He agreed on an early check in and a late check out at no extra charge. He provided information about some of the visits we had planned. All in all, very welcoming.

The apartment had an excellent location, in a clean and quiet neighborhood. The apartment has a lot of light. It was well equipped and tastefully decorated.

The apartment is well-furnished and comfortable. It is situated approximately about 20 mn from Manhattan, and the subway station is a 2 -minute walk from the house !

We stayed there for 9 days and had no problems at all, in the neighbourhood or elsewhere. It is quite easy to find a place to eat nearby. The only regret is that we requested a baby cot which wasn't available. But we managed anyway and were very happy staying there !

We would return without any doubt !

The owners are delightful, highly involved and welcoming. They very kindly gave us information on the neighborhood, restaurants, bars, subway...

The decor is great, comfort is awesome. The only downside which was quite unpleasant was the AC in the bedroom. It sounds as though it needs to be changed or fixed... very noisy - we coudn't use it at night... Unfortunately, it was awfully hot during our stay.
Still, we will recommend this place.

Spacious apartment with a comfortable feel, located in quiet Harlem street close to bus or subway (less than 100 m from a subway station). Extremely friendly owner, and helpful with tips to explore NY.

Very good apartment, ideal for 5 people, very well situated, wonderful owner.... Subway station 30 meters away and a shop for your shopping 500 meters away.

The strong points: the location, Harlem, great, the owner, the apartment as a whole, big, spacious kitchen. Very big fridge where the owner has left some eggs, orange juice and bread etc for us... It was just perfect...!

The owner is delightful, very welcoming and considerate. From the very first email, she sent us practical information on the neighborhood. When we arrived, our first breakfast had been organized. She gave us useful tips to travel on the subway.

The apartment is very nice, in a quiet street, 100 m away from the subway and 20 min away from the center of Manhattan.

The owner is a very friendly and helpful lady. Just before our trip, she gave us information on tourist attractions and events in New York and on the airport transfer. On our arrival at a late hour, she spent about 2 hours with us working out visits for the 2 days. Thanks to her help, our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 16, 14 and 11) spent two marvelous days in New York.

She even provided the basics for our breakfast (coffee, orange juice, cornflakes, milk and a fruit basket) so we could prepare our visits even more easily with lots of the New York highlights. Needless to say, after the third night, she also organized for a taxi for 5 people plus luggage to take us to airport in good time.

Nothing to say, it was perfect!

As last time everything was perfect. The apartment was great (very clean, spacious), the location perfect for a vacation in New York (just footsteps away there is a Metrostation). The owners of the apartment were more than just nice. It felt like staying with friends, thanks again to the owners. I can only recommend it to anybody. Stay [at this vacation rental] and you feel like you are at home.

We loved it. The owners were very understanding, warm and hospitable, the facility was wonderful and a great value, and I am so glad we did it.

We enjoyed our New York stay very much. We were 3 adults. The apartment was perfect. Very well situated (Harlem is a very nice neighborhood), quiet, near the subway station. The only thing that was a surprise was the height of the building for getting bags up and down - had we realised earlier one of the bags would have been split into 2 - but hey no problem we are still under 60!

To make it short: it was really perfect! The apartment was very clean and the heating worked well (important when the temperature outside is -1°C). Everything was like in your pictures. We were not deceived. All appliances worked well, the TV and the internet connection were also included. Everything was in perfect condition and seemed to be new.

The owner was very nice and he even spoke French. A very warm welcome, including all kind of information about how to get around in New York and places to visit, restaurants... I would recomment it for sure.
