This fully furnished one bedroom apartment is located in Carroll Gardens, a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. The apartment is on the top floor (considered 2nd by Europeans) of 3-story walk-up townhouse building and has an extra sleeping alcove to accommodate more people. Please note that you have to go through the common area where the staircase is to access all of the rooms of the apartment (see floorplan).
This rental accommodation is lined with wood floors and features embossed tin-ceilings and a deluxe bathroom with a jacuzzi-style bathtub. There is air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans in each room to cool the apartment. The small living room is combined with the kitchen and is furnished with a sofa. The kitchen area is fully equipped and has a table with raised bar stools for dining at home. There is a small television mounted in the corner with cable access, with another one in the bedroom to provide entertainment.
The windows of the kitchen and the bathroom have eastern exposure, overlooking the backyard garden, while the bedroom and sleeping alcove (Living Room 2) have windows with western exposure, giving a view of the street and neighborhood. You will find a queen size bed in the bedroom and a single size bed in the sleeping alcove.
This one bedroom apartment is located at Hoyt Street & 2nd Street on a tree-lined street in Carroll Gardens, an area of Brooklyn, NYC, niched between the neighborhoods of Gowanus, Boerum Hill and Cobble Hill.
Smith Street begins just over a block away, and is lined with small shops, bars, cafes and a variety of restaurants to choose from! There is a laundromat at the corner of Smith Street and 2nd Street (.2 miles / less than 300m), a Capital One Bank, pharmacy and a Keyfood supermarket on Court Street, a block beyond Smith, which also has many attractions. Local sights include the Red Hook Recreational Area, a park with free summer concerts (1 subway stop away) and the Brooklyn Transit Museum (3 stops), which explores the history of the 5th largest subway system in the world.
Public transportation is convenient, with the F/G subway line just over 2 blocks away, as well as the D/N/R train station about 6 blocks away, both of which will connect you to Manhattan or greater Brooklyn, making travel around New York City convenient.

The apartment in Brooklyn was fine. It was located close to a subway station at the end of 2nd street. The owner was very helpful and we found the apartment very clean and tidy. |
