The recently refurbished (as of 2011) apartment is on the first floor of an apartment complex originally built for engineers of the Eiffel Tower. It faces a quiet courtyard with fragrant lavender bushes and seasonally blooming flowers. A live-in concierge manages the complex. There is an elevator in the building.
The living room with a view to the garden has a velvet sofa bed, a dining table with chairs, a built-in book case, a decorative fireplace with a mirror above it, and a long built-in desk with a comfortable office chair. One wall consists of closets and wardrobe. The apartment has wifi connection and a television set with access to international channels. In the bedroom the double sized bed has a natural latex mattress on flexible slats. Other furnishings - an antique desk, a large bookcase, and a bedside table. The windows to the courtyard have double panes. Blinds on the windows act as curtains. The kitchen with a small window to an inner courtyard has a tile floor. It is equipped with china, cooking utensils and cutlery. Appliances include an oven, a microwave, a vitroceramic cooktop with four burners, a refrigerator and freezer, a washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, coffee-maker, water-boiler, vacuum cleaner. The bathroom with a window has a shower, a vanity, and a toilet. Next to the bathroom is a large walk-in closet. Linen is included in the rental. Pets are allowed upon request.
This fully furnished one-bedroom apartment measuring approx. 40 square meter (approx. 441 square feet) is located between the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides Square in a residential neighborhood which also draws tourists to its excellent restaurants and food shops. Rue Cler offers open markets, fine butchers, fishmongers, and cheese stores. Bakery Secco has the best bread in Paris. The American University in Paris and many other institutes for adult learning are nearby. At five minutes from the apartment you have the American Church on Quai D’Orsay, at fifteen the American Cathedral on Avenues George V.
From along rue St. Dominique, with a stop in front of the apartment building, bus 69 goes to the Louvre, the Marais and the Bastille areas. At other nearby stops buses 80, 63, 42 provide transportation to sights, shopping areas, and cultural centers all over Paris. The closest Metro stations are La Tour Maubourg and Invalides both on line 8 and the RER. Parking is available at the Invalides Square.
