The fully furnished 41-sqm apartment has hardwood floors throughout, as well as several angled windows, which not only offer lovely views, but also allow in the sunlight, making the space rather luminous. On the lower level is the open living area, which features a decorative fireplace and is furnished in an eclectic fashion with a nautical theme—accessories include oars, shark teeth, and a globe. The living room has a single bed, a double sofa bed, a coffee table, and a flat-screen TV with cable programming. Beside this area is the open kitchen that is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Additionally, there is a washer and dryer for your convenience. Take the stairs up to the upper level to access the bedroom, which has a double bed and dresser. Next to it is a bathroom with a WC, tub-shower, and a washbasin with countertop, storage space underneath, and a vanity mirror. Linens and towels are provided, and there is wifi internet access and phone service. Furthermore, the apartment boasts a private rooftop terrace, where you can relax after a long day and take in the spectacular views of classic Parisian architecture. However, PLEASE NOTE that there is no security barrier on the roof.

Visit Les Halles, just two blocks south, which is the largest indoor shopping mall in Paris, or walk nine blocks north to the Grands Boulevards area, where you’ll find plentiful stores. Among them are Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, two iconic French department stores. Dine at famous restaurants like L’Escargot and popular bakeries such as La Maison Stohrer (both within 400 m), where the “baba au rhum” was invented over 275 years ago! The City of Lights is well known as a cultural mecca, so take advantage and visit the Louvre Museum (950 m), Centre George Pompidou (1.1 km), and the Opéra-Comique (700 m). Also nearby are the Royal Palace, with its beautiful gardens, the Place de la Madeleine, and several other museums and theaters. To explore other parts of the city, head to the closest subway stations, Sentier (280 m) and Bourse (450 m), which both run on line 3.

The apartment was found in a less than clean condition. The Internet was not at all reliable and often not available for days at a time, which was completely inconvenient for students - the owner referred us to FREE INTERNET which was next to worthless. Upon arrival the washing machine did not work but eventually was fixed. The bathtub located in the loft leaked into the living space below on more than one occasion and took days to repair each time forcing the occupants to bathe in the homes of friends. The sink in the kitchen also became unusable. The owner accessed the apartment during our absence without permission and cleaned the apartment and disposed of some of our belongings - we did thank him just the same and sent him 100 Euro reimbursement even though we did not ask for his services. |

Lucas and Gregory, I am sorry if you did not enjoy your stay in my apartment. The cleaning company came to clean it before your arrival. I never had any issues with them in 4 years. In order to enhance the Internet connection after your arrival, I switched to another provider (you did not talk about that in your review). |
