Close to the Gare Du Nord, Grand Boulevards, and Canal Saint Martin, this six bedroom apartment is on six stories (equivalent to 5 stories for Europeans). It has a living room, a dining room with an adjacent open kitchen, six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two terraces and a private elevator. Completed in 2003, the building was designed in a loft style with white walls and exposed concrete floors and ceilings. It has southern exposure facing a calm street, and northern exposure, overlooking a private courtyard. Entrance to the building is secure, as there is a videophone; the main door opens to a hallway and then there’s a second door, with a security code, which opens facing the elevator.
To the right side is the laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer, in addition to a washstand. The following door opens to the first bedroom, furnished with a double bed, in-built closet, and French doors that open onto the courtyard. This 215 square feet (20 sqm) bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a shower stall, toilet and washbasin. The second bedroom has a double bed, closet, and en-suite bathroom and has access to a furnished terrace in the courtyard.
The second level (equivalent to the European first floor) is very similar to the first. The double bedroom on the street side is very bright as it features an impressive 13 x 8 feet (4 x 2.4 meters) picture window, while the pleasant bedroom on the courtyard side also has a large window, making this level a sun-drenched space! Both bedrooms have a desk and chair, as well as private bathrooms.
On the third floor, you’ll find the 248-square foot (23 sqm) master suite with a queen-size bed, desk, and 13 x 8 feet (4 x 2.4 meters) wall-to-wall closets. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, washbasin, and shower stall. Adjacent to the master bedroom, a large window overlooking the courtyard brightens another bedroom, which includes a single bed and its own bathroom, and is therefore well suited for a child.
On the fourth floor is the 645-square foot (60 sqm) dining area featuring 10-ft ceilings (3 meters) and an oval dining table for ten. Next to it is an open kitchen with ample counter space, equipped with four gas burners, electric oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, armoire filled with china, and cupboards where utensils are tidily stored.
On the fifth floor, the 377-square foot (35 sqm) living room, also with high ceilings, is furnished with two sofas and armchairs. There’s a decorative fireplace in between two large bookcases and sliding doors that open onto a wood terrace, which offers a pleasant view over classic Parisian rooftops.
Every floor has double-glazed windows, and (except for the top floor) a separate toilet beside the elevator. Each of the bedrooms has a unique style that matches the overall décor of the upscale apartment. There are three cordless telephones and three TVs, as well as washer and dryer. There is cable in one of the bedrooms, two VCR’s and DVD players, and a stereo. A computer with ADSL and WiFi Internet connection is also available!
This six bedroom apartment is situated in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, on Rue des Messageries, betw. Rue d'Hauteville & Rue du Faubourg Poissonniere. Next to the Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est train stations, it’s just a mile away from the majestic Sacre-Coeur Basilica that sits atop the Montmartre hill. From there, you can enjoy amazing views on the City of Lights! The famous Pigalle neighborhood and iconic Moulin Rouge are both within a mile (1.6 km)! There are several thoroughfares with plenty of restaurants and amenities in this district. Within a half-mile (800 meters) radius, you’ll find the Bonne Nouvelle metro station, which runs on the 8 and 9 lines, making it simple to commute to places on either the Left or Right Bank of Paris! Even closer (390 ft / 118 m), the Poissonnière metro station runs on line 7, which stops at the famous Opera Garnier, the Louvre and easily connects to other subway lines, the RER trains, and the TGV trains at the Gare de l’Est station!
