Experience Paris as an elite local with this beautiful and spacious (90sqm/968sqft) two bedroom apartment in Port Royal of the 5th arrondissement!
The two bedroom home is located on Boulevard de Port-Royal between Rue Henri Barbusse and Rue Saint Jacques. It is on the 2nd floor (considered 3rd in U.S.) of a 6-story walk-up building with coded security system. Highlights of the apartment include parquet floors, high ceilings, and exposed brick walls.
Bright and sunny, this Paris accommodation is surrounded by large French windows that look south and north, toward a cobblestone courtyard and narrow street. It is modernly decorated with walls of bookshelves stacked with paperbacks and hardcovers, as well as unique paintings and artwork scattered throughout the house. Amenities include a laundry washing machine, two televisions (one with cable) and a DVD player and a fully equipped open kitchen with essential appliances, cabinetry and a dishwasher for maximum convenience.
Bedroom 1 spans approximately 17sqm (182.9sqft) on the west-end and includes a queen bed. Bedroom 2, spanning 10sqm (107.6sqft) is on the east-end of the home. It offers two twin beds.
Neighboring the splendid Luxembourg Garden, this mostly residential street near Port Royal is part of the Latin Quarter (Quartier Latin), one of the most youthful areas of Paris! A few steps away from this furnished two-bedroom apartment is the Panthéon, among the most important Parisian points of interest; it is a secular temple and known as the burial place of such greats as Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, Emile Zola, and Marie and Pierre Curie. In walking distance from this accommodation is the Sorbonne as well as the Seine River and its traditional secondhand booksellers and delectable islands. The area boasts a number of restaurants and cafes, diverse shops, and other quality conveniences such as the Maubert Mutualité and Mouffetard open-air markets, supermarkets, and fine bakeries.
The nearest metro stations are Port-Royal (RER B) and Denfert-Rochereau (line 4,6 and RER B).
Please note: Due to its central situation, the area can be a bit noisy at times.

If I were renting out my personal living space I think I would do some basic little things to make guests feel welcome and that the space they were renting was their own, even for a short time. Little things like having soap or other amenities would be nice. Maybe a bottle of wine or even just some water in the refrigerator - nothing expensive, just little touches to make a guest feel more welcome. None of that was done here. Felt more like just a room to sleep in than an apartment to spend time in. Clearer instructions on things like the wireless network would also have been helpful. Fortunately, it was a short stay and none of the appliances were really needed. |

I was delighted with my stay here, the apartment was spacious, comfortable, filled with light and ideally situated, very much as described and pictured. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, had an excellent rapport with our landlady, whose concern for our comfort and availability to answer all queries and give of her time and experience of the sights and places to visit was second to none. Our home away from home gave us the freedom and space to settle in and feel part of the neighbourhood, visiting local merchants on a regular basis and enjoying the many bistros at our doorstep. Walks in Le Jardin de Luxumbourge were a highlight, and the 5ieme arrondisments a treasure to be discovered every day. |

The apartment was quite spacious and comfortable with a very Parisian ambiance. The owner was generally quite friendly and accommodating. The one downside to our stay was that the WIFI and cable television were not working while we were there - but I believe this was being addressed shortly after we departed. There was some noise from the restaurants below when the living room or kitchen windows were open, but we found the bedrooms were quite quiet. |

We contacted the owner of this apartment who apologized for the inconvenience of the cable and internet which were out of service for the week. Both have since been repaired and are now functioning properly. |

We had stay 8 nights in this apartment, with two small kids. Its very spacious, and well located, but very noisy too, cause it is located in a hospitalar zone. The building is too old, even considering that we were in Paris. The floor of the apartment is damaged. The pilows and the beds are not good... |

The apartment we stayed in was very convenient, it was within walking distance to all the [Paris] key sites. The apartment is very spacious with plenty of light and comfortable kitchen and dining room to enjoy yourself. On returning to Paris I would certainly return to the apartment to spend another enjoyable holiday. |
