South France Accommodation - 2 Bedroom Rental in La Bātie-neuve, French Alps (PR-954)

This lovely wooden chalet is located in a hamlet near the village of La Batie Neuve in the Hautes Alpes (known as the French Alps to Americans). The fully furnished two bedroom chalet stands on a large (about 1600 sqm/half acre) private garden planted with various trees. Car parking is available at the rear of the property.

You enter the two bedroom apartment via a large entrance room, which can be convenient to store sports equipment (skis, climbing equipment, etc). There is also a washing machine here, another great convenience! The kitchen is fully equipped with 3 gas burners and 1 electric burner, a multi-function electric oven, a dishwasher and a refrigerator. Cooking utensils are also provided, and there is a dining table to enjoy your meals upon. You will also be sure to enjoy the summer kitchen with BBQ as well as a bread oven.

French doors off of the downstairs living room give access to the balcony where you will find garden furniture, a nice option to enjoy the sun in the warmer months of the year. Additionally there is a sauna off of the living room!

One bedroom is downstairs, with twin beds that can be put together to form a queen bed. Up in the mezzanine (please note that the ceilings are slanted and low at some points in this room), there is another set of two twins that function as a queen bed and a second living room with a TV and DVD player.

The owners live in a chalet nearby and will the available if needed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, but rest assured that you will have full privacy.

The chalet is a few minutes drive away from the village of La Bâtie Neuve where you will find basic commodities (bakery, pharmacy, bar, restaurant...). Larger shops can be found in Gap (about 11km/7 miles away from the apartment).

This property in the middle of the French Alps (Southern Region is ideal for nature lovers who want to enjoy the incredible variety of activities offered by the Hautes Alpes Region: Skiing - Mountain Climbing – River and Lake Activities – Golf (Gap-Bayard) and even Air Activities in Tallard Airfield (about 15 minutes drive away).

In the summer, take a swim in the Serre Poncon Lake, a few minutes drive away from the apartment.
