Portobello Road is approximately 500 metres from the apartment and here you will find the renowned market on Saturday mornings where you can pick up clothing and antiques. You will also find throughout Notting Hill a wealth of restaurants and cafes where you can take time out to stop for a bite to eat.

The apartment was well-appointed and clean. Cute décor, very comfortable bed, and good closet space. Having washer/dryer in the flat was a big benefit. Close to a tube stop, and only 20 minutes from the heart of Mayfair. Unfortunately the nearest stop was frequently closed on weekends for track maintenance during the months I was there. Good service during the week though, and good access to bus lines as an alternative. Walking distance to shops, pubs, bakeries, and restaurants, as well as Portobello market, so lots of options for getting out in the neighborhood. Not too far from Holland Park, for any runners. Nice building and neighbors; only drawback to the building is that there is no elevator, so any large suitcases need to be carried upstairs. Landlord was an absolute dream to work with. I would rent this space again in a heartbeat! |
