The West End, which is part of Central London, is very popular among tourists, as it is home to many of the city’s major attractions. The closest subway station is Holborn (650 meters / approx. 0.4 miles), which provides access to both the Central and Piccadilly lines. If you enjoy spending time outdoors, head to one of the many parks in the area, like Bedford Square (1.4 km / 0.9 miles) and Bloomsbury Square (700 meters / 0.4 miles); both are surrounded by buildings and townhouses of the Georgian era. Brush up on your British history and visit some nearby museums such as the British Museum and the Foundling Museum. The latter is close to Lamb’s Conduit Street, a lovely thoroughfare lined with independent boutiques, restaurants, and cafés.
