Nice apartment, it has everything you need and more. Fantastic location. The owner was very helpful. I enjoyed my stay and would choose this apartment again if the opportunity arose.

The apartment is in a very nice location, with a Metro station and shops around the corner. The interior is decorated very tastefully and the apartment comes equipped with anything you might need. However, this apartment could us some "freshening up".

The soundproofing in between the apartments is rather bad, and in some spots you may get disturbed by your fellow neighbor.

The owner is a very accommodating lady, who is concerned about the well-being of the renters. If you have any questions or remarks, she is quick to respond in an uncomplicated manner.

Dear Christoph, many thanks for your kind words. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at my place and liked the neighbourhood. Thanks also for the feedback. In fact, I'm just in the process booking quotes for updating the carpeting and décor in the flat. The place has been so much in demand this year that it's been tough to schedule the work, so I'm sorry you were not able to benefit from this. But if you ever visit again I hope you will see the difference! Regarding the sounds from neighbours, like most London residences, my flat is part of a converted Victorian house. This means it's impossible not to hear neighbours occasionally. I've always found the place very quiet, but if my guests can let me know if there's ever a problematic noise, that's really helpful, as I am in regular contact with all the owners of the other flats in the building and can talk to them about it.

The apartment was very nice and very well furnished, it feels like home. The owner is helpful and very friendly. The insulation of the apartment could be improved, and it would be useful to put curtains in the bedroom in order to block the light.

Dear Remi, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in my apartment - to me it's a great compliment that it felt like "home". Thank you. Regarding the curtain in the bedroom, there should be one there but I'll check it out and get another with a thicker lining to block the light better. Most people find the apartment quite warm, so I'm so sorry to hear you were cold. Actually, the heating system has always been very efficient and is inspected once a year, the wooden shutters in the sitting room provide greater insulation when closed and there is an additional fan heater in the wardrobe (I apologise if you weren't aware of that). But I'll certainly check to make sure everything is working properly. Thanks so much for the feedback!

What a fabulous English experience. The apartment is light and has charming aspect views. The location is wonderful, with easy access to transport and facilities. The neighbouhood is fascinating, any direction you turn has an interesting new character. It gives a great opportunity to really experience living in London. An amazing experience.

St Luke's Road is a gorgeous little home in one of London's best locations. It has a lovely feel and is thoughtfully furnished with everything you need. Having stayed in other parts of London, St Luke's Road was very quiet and safe.

Its very close to Westbourne Park station or a great 15 min walk to Notting Hill Gate (past great cafes and shops). The landlord was lovely and checked in on my stay every now and then to make sure everything was OK and was easily contactable. A very easy, comfortable and smooth stay.

I highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here on my next visit to London!

The apartment was great - perfect for my requirements - good location, bright, quiet, all the necessary amenities and enough space that I was happy just to hang out there.

The owner Sarah M. was very good to deal with and responsive.

First of all, the apartment is very well located. In a very quiet neighborhood and close to Portobello, a very nice tourist place. Like most London apartments, it is an old construction which sometimes lets you hear the noise from the other floors in the building.

Overall it was a very good experience. The owner was very pleasant and reliable. I never had any problem. I'd definitely recommend the apartment, with slight changes.

The only thing I'd improve is the master bedroom. The bed is quite small and two people can't sleep comfortably in it. Also, the pillows and the sheets are not the best quality.

Dear Gerardo - thank you so much for your review. I'm really happy that you enjoyed your stay at my apartment so much. And thank you also for the feedback on the bedroom.

I have been to the flat to check out the bed linen and you are right - the sheets and pillows were rather old. I have now replaced them all with brand new high-quality new linen (John Lewis and Marks & Spencer).

Regarding the mattress, I've not had couples comment on that in the past, but I will certainly look into the options. Regarding noise, I've always found it a very quiet place and no other tenants have ever complained - but like any London flat that's in a converted house, it's impossible not to occasionally hear neighbours.

In fact, being on the top floor, I get less of that that most places since there's no one above me. Many thanks again for your feedback!

St. Lukes Road flat was the best choice. The neighborhood is perfect-you are close to the underground but is a quiet and beautiful street. A few blocks from the center of portobello- nothing hill- kingsgrove av!!!! You are totally walking distance for everything and is a super secure area.

The flat is the perfect size for living and with a beautifull view. A nice decoration - usefull kitchen- cozy living room. I really enoyed my time in London at that place.

Fantastic location in the most charming corner of London. Stone's throw to Portobello market, quiet, leafy street, great nearby pubs and restaurants. The cozy top-floor flat has a wonderful view and plenty of light.

Loved staying here.

I would highly recommend this flat! It is very comfortable with all amenities, cozy and clean. The living-room has a very beautiful view, all the spaces are very well thought and quite. Besides St. Lukes Road it's in a very central and lovely position.

I'll definitely try to stay here again when I come back in London! This is the opinion of my cousin, that was with me: A beautiful flat in an amazing place, I really enjoyed!

The apartment was very centrally located with the closest tube station, Westbourne Park being only a 3 minute walk from the apartment. The station is on the Hammersmith and City line which stops at Paddington where you can alight for other trains to the West End.

The apartment was beautifully presented, very bright, airy and clean and situated in a quiet tree lined street. Only a 5 minute walk from Portobello Road, where a Tesco Metro is situated.

The owner of the property is very friendly and helpful and can be easily contacted. I loved this apartment and rate it a 9!

We stayed in St Lukes Road for a month during January - the flat is in a superb location, right on the doorstep of the vibrant Portabello Road (famous for the street markets) and about a 15-minute walk from Kensington Gardens.

There are so many lovely restaurants and bars within a few minutes of the flat, that you'll hardly need to leave the area! There are also a number of tube stations close-by (H&C and Central lines), so getting around the rest of London is also extremely convenient.

The flat itself is very cozy and quirky, the highlight certainly being the enormous lounge window in which you can sit and read from the superb collection of books available!

Absolutely lovely flat in the heart of London's lovliest area. The location could not be better: Portobello road and shopping facilities are just a short walk away and so is a tube station and a bus station.

The flat is warm and homey - you feel at home as soon as you enter the door. Even though the location is central, the area is quiet - one could not wish for a better London experience.

Thank you Sylvie.
Since London is a city made up of old family houses converted into flats, it is rare not to hear the people living around you occasionally. But when it comes to the traffic and noise of the city, St Lukes Road is blissfully quiet.
