There are many ways of proving yourself a “real New Yorker”. One is by expertly navigating through Greenwich Village, an ultra-popular and sometimes confusing neighborhood of downtown Manhattan. Now you can try your hand at this – and call yourself a real New Yorker! – in this alcove studio apartment for rent.
Located on Bleecker Street & Macdougal Street, the fully furnished alcove studio sits on the ground floor of a prewar building. A security system provides protection. Perfect for students, the accommodation is just 0.2mi (350m) from New York University.
Spanning 270ft in total, the charming apartment brings to mind a Greenwich Village of the past: back when it was ruled by artists, hippies, musicians, and the alternative scene. Lined with hardwood floors, it features high ceilings (a beloved quality of prewar apartments). Amenities include a double-sized sofa bed, a double-sized bed television with cable, dining table, and a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, oven, and stove. There is also a full bathroom with toilet, shower and sink.
Set in the heart of Greenwich Village, Manhattan, this furnished apartment is surrounded by popular restaurants, bars, parks, and shops. It is an area beloved by locals for its rich artistic history and its safe distance from the tourist-swarmed streets of Midtown. There are so many things to do here: we suggest taking in the sun at Washington Square Park (0.2mi/300m), catching an independent film at Film Forum (0.2mi/350m) or the IFC Center (0.2mi/250m), and getting a drink at the historic Stonewall Inn (0.4mi/600m). Looking to get a tattoo or piercing while you’re here? Head to St. Marks Place (0.9mi/1.5km), where you will find an array of strange shops, tattoo parlors, and of course The Continental bar (0.8mi/1.3km)!

Perfect for my needs! The apartment is really quiet while you step out to an endearingly lively village with plenty of food options. It is close to NYU, the Washington Square Park, and SoHo. It is also a few minutes aways from many subway lines. The owner is very kind and conscientious, and is always very prompt in attending to the needs of tenants. |
