This two bedroom duplex apartment is located in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. It is on the third and fourth floors (considered 2nd and 3rd by Europeans) of a historic walk-up brownstone building from 1899, which features a buzzer/ intercom security system and exposure to the north, south, east, and west!
The air-conditioned apartment is lined with hardwood floors and has many windows, making it a bright unit! It also has 100% wind power from Green Mountain Electric! The living room features a decorative fireplace and is furnished a dining table that seats six. The open, eat-in kitchen was renovated and is equipped with all the basic appliances and utensils. Bedroom 1 has a queen-size bed and dresser. There is a wardrobe and there is a storage closet near the entrance. The full bathroom is also on this level; it has a door that opens to a metal staircase that leads to the garden / terrace, which is shared with residents from the ground floor apartment. On the fourth floor, you’ll find a large, open space that can be used as a second living room or bedroom, or both. It is furnished with a sofa that fasces a flat screen TV with Apple TV, a desk and a chair, as well as a double mattress and box spring. Internet access is available for your convenience.
This Clinton Hill apartment is located on Clifton Place & St James Place, a calm residential area with many trees along its streets. You can purchase all of the daily necessities in the shops and supermarkets nearby. NYC Citibike Bike exchange now has a location 1/2 a block away from the apartment. Pratt University of Architecture is a block away and there is a Brooklyn Public Library within three blocks. There are nice restaurants in the vicinity like Locanda Vini & Olii (2 blocks) and Umi Nom (4 blocks). Every year in November, New York organizes a marathon that starts at the Brooklyn Bridge. You can go and cheer on the runners, as this two bedroom apartment is right next to the marathon’s course! Walk to several of the adjacent neighborhoods like Fort Greene and Prospect Heights, which both have many of their own attractions.
To get to other areas of the city, head to the nearest subway stations, Clinton-Washington Avenues / Fulton Street (5 blocks), where you can catch the C train, and Clinton-Washington Avenues / Lafayette Avenue (3 blocks), which runs on the G line. The latter is right next to Underwood Park, which has playgrounds, a fountain, chess and checkers tables and more!

This is a spacious apartment, perfect for two people with its split level, quiet , with a unique flair and lots of art on the walls. The ac units might need to be updated as the apartment got a bit warm on very hot days. |

My partner and I had a great time staying at this beautiful apartment. It's got everything we needed, from furniture and linens/towels to all kinds of kitchen supplies. The apartment is clean, super spacious and the two floor layout is perfect for working from home with some individual privacy (plus good internet speed). The design/decoration is wonderful too, filled with amazing artworks, furniture and great books. The building itself is very quiet, well maintained (with a laundry room) and at the perfect location, close to the G and the C, right next to a huge grocery store and tons of good restaurants and bars. The owner is incredibly kind. The check-in and check-out process was so easy, and the owner was very responsive to our questions the entire time we were here. Having lived in other brownstones in the neighborhood, we can say that this place is 100% a true gem. Highly recommend. |

This is a very spacious, quiet and comfortable apartment, in a beautiful street in Brooklyn. It offered us (two academics with a baby) all that we needed: plenty of quiet working space with natural light, a lot of crawling space for our little one, a well-equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom with air conditioning (where our baby slept like a baby during the warm month of September), a bath tub, and access to a quiet garden. We felt very much at home and will definitely want to stay here again during a next trip to New York. |

We were delighted with our apartment. It is very well located in a pleasant part of Brooklyn. The apartment is extremely spacious with a large and modern kitchen. It is very quiet, especially at the rear of the building. Both beds were very comfortable. Having the dining table downstairs and the lounge seating upstairs takes a bit of getting used to but does provide space for privacy. The owner has a large number of interesting books and an eclectic art collection. He is a lovely person who went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. I am very happy to recommend this property for anyone looking to a short term stay in New York City. It was the perfect base for our seven week stay. Both the A/C and G train subway lines are readily accessible by foot allowing easy travel to any part of New York. |
