Located on the second floor (known as the first floor by Europeans) of a lovely prewar walkup building dating back to the early 1900's, this two bedroom apartment at West 132nd Street and Lenox Avenue in New York's Harlem neighborhood has a pleasing balance with casual elegance and comfortable, refined furnishings. The building offers an intercom system with a camera for your security and convenience. There are shared laundry facilities available, so you'll never have to worry about finding a Laundromat.
The commodious living room is a great place to relax on the sofa and enjoy the provided television with cable at the end of another busy day in NYC. Here you'll also find a full dining area, and there is air conditioning. In the event of weekend guests, you can easily convert the sofa into a queen sized bed. Other amenities include an eye-catching decorative fireplace and ample closet space.
The open kitchen will impress the cook in your family, with two sink basins and matching white appliances, including a dishwasher and double-doored refrigerator. The bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the apartment for maximum privacy. The first bedroom has six windows! as well enough space to accommodate a queen sized bed, two closets, and a dresser. The second bedroom offers a double bed, closet, and window views. Perhaps the highlight of the two-bedroom is the spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi style tub, window and double sinks, accessed by sliding doors.
Harlem is one of New York City's most diverse and historic neighborhoods, and it is quickly gaining popularity among New Yorkers for its beautiful brownstones and close proximity to many of Manhattan's most popular destinations. Landmarks like the Apollo Theater are a short distance away on the West 125th Street thoroughfare, and you'll love the soul food and Caribbean cuisine for which the area is famous. Indeed, 125th Street, a few streets to the south of your apartment, is one of the city's most bustling shopping districts. Hilly and wooded St. Nicholas Park is within walking distance (about .7 miles or 1.1 km), and it is a fine place to enjoy the outdoors.
The 2 and 3 trains are both available at 135th Street and Lenox Avenue, a quick walk to the north of your apartment (a little over 1/4 of a mile, about 500 meters). Both trains run along the west side of Manhattan, and make express stops during peak hours, simplifying transit around the metropolis.

The spacious apartment was very clean. The introduction to the apartment was done a little late. Not directly on the spot, but 2-3 days later via email. Good contact with the landlady. Bulb was fixed immediately. Landlady was very helpful. The windows seem to let in a little draught. The rooms' heating quality varies. All in all we had a fabulous stay. |

I stayed in this apartment for 6 month. Everything work in perfect way: furnitures, amenities, electronics devices, A/C and Heating. Besides the great location (closet to train and restaurants, markets, etc), I highlight both the quiet and the owner (everytime ready to help me when I needed). |
