Situated in a prewar apartment building in Manhattan’s Midtown East neighborhood, this furnished studio at East 52nd Street and Second Avenue is located in one of New York City’s most well-known and accessible neighborhoods. Your fourth floor walkup (known as the third floor by Europeans) is a short distance away from some of the city’s famous skyscrapers and is near Central Park, perhaps NYC’s most celebrated attraction (1 mile or 1.6 km away).
After entering your brownstone, you are able to access your apartment through the use of a key code combination. Your unit’s living area is dominated by the comfortable queen sized bed, and a television with cable is provided, perfect for unwinding after a busy day sightseeing or at the office. Here you’ll find a dining room table with seating for four people and two windows with southern exposure overlooking neighboring buildings and the street below.
The open kitchen is just off the entrance to the apartment and includes the major items that you will need to cook during your stay, like utensils, pots and pans, and appliances. There is also a small seating area, great for a casual breakfast. The bathroom has a WC and bathtub with shower. Please note that the floors in some of the units in this building have a minor slant and that the heating system is radiator steam, which can cause loud clanging when in use during the cold season.
Located just blocks from the heart of NYC’s business district, Midtown East is a thriving neighborhood near some of New York’s finest shops and restaurants. For a casual lunch, the food court on the lower level of the 601 Lexington building at 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue is a good choice, with a variety of restaurants to choose from. Laundry is a cinch with the All Washed Up Laundromat available just to the north on 53rd Street near Second Avenue. A few streets to the south on 48th Street and Second Avenue you will find Morton Williams Supermarket, a good place to pick up the essentials on the way home.
This studio is a few streets away from the 51st Street and Lexington Avenue subway stop, where you’ll find the E, M, and 6 trains. The E and M trains both make stops across Manhattan en route to destinations in Brooklyn and Queens. The 6 runs along the east side of Manhattan and includes service to transit hubs like Grand Central Station and Union Square.

The apartment needs major rennovation, very old and not appealing. Thus appreciating the area, the appartament was a dissapointment. |

Furniture too old, damaged toilette, window and terrible smell of mold/mustiness. I don't recommend it at all. |
