This is a model apartment. It reflects both the quality and the style of the apartments we offer at this location. The individual apartments are a variation of this one with some differences in layout and exposure.
The studio apartment is situated in a building with 6 floors that was built in the 1920’s. It is a walk-up, meaning that there is no elevator. This Upper West Side studio is furnished with two double-size beds which gives you the opportunity to share the apartment with the roommate of your choice. You can enjoy watching cable TV series on the flat screen or find the best deals via Wi-Fi internet. You can also have a cup of tea or make a sandwich with the kitchen equipment (electric stove top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small fridge).
The building is located on Central Park West and 103rd Street, a block away from the Park where there is much to discover, such as statues and monuments (Albert Bertel Thorvaldsen, J. Marion Sims, John Purroy Mitchell), the flora (The Loch, The Pool) and NYC historical sights (The Blockhouse, McGown’s Pass, Nutter’s Battery Site). However, if you prefer a day of shopping, you can stroll down Broadway and find numerous stores from brands like Brooklyn Industries or Urban Outfitters or little-known boutiques. You will also be only 0.8 mile away (1.2km) from the prestigious Columbia University making this apartment a great option for students.
All these Upper West Side attractions are walking distance from the apartment but if you want to discover the rest of Manhattan or the outer boroughs, New York has an extended transit system. You can access the B / C subway lines at 103rd Street/Central Park West or the 1 line at the Broadway/103rd Street station.
Please note that due to its location, some noise can be heard in the apartment at times.

It was everything it needed to be. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the location was fantastic. |

This apartment is not a bad option for a few months, because it is not easy to find a place to live in Manhattan (or even in Queens or Brooklyn) for a short term. The apartment itself is more than enough for a short term stay, however it isn't the best option if you are going to be more time. |

Clean apartment, comfortable bed, quite spacious bathroom. Downsides, kitchen not sufficiently equipped, not shutters hence quite bright. |

We appreciate the guest's comments and thank you for the great words Florent and Maxime! Our maids do a great job of keeping the apartments maintained. unfortunately we only provide a basic set of flatware sets for two. |

The apartment building changed landlords during my stay, a fact of which I was not made aware. There was some mix up as to when rent was due, to whom the payment needed to be made, and the total cost. |

Indeed, the ownership was switched during this rental so it took a little time for everyone on the owners' side as well as at New York Habitat to get all the necessary information so it could be adequately updated. There was construction going on in the building as it was being renovated. The owner has replaced the air conditioning unit in this apartment. Thank you for taking the time to send us your review, Chelsea! |
