This tasteful one bedroom apartment for rent is fully furnished and located in the prosperous neighborhood of NYC’s Upper East Side. Located on East 61st Street & First Avenue, it is seated on the third floor (considered the 2nd floor in Europe) of a five-story 20th century walk-up building. With its modern décor and privileged location, it is the perfect dwelling spot for a chic individual. Included in the building is a buzzer/intercom system to secure privacy and allow easy access for expectant guests.
Imagine yourself laying on the long sofa bed in the living room, reading the New York Times and listening to the hum of busy Manhattan streets below. You hear your stomach grumble, and you walk through the hallway into the well-equipped kitchen to cook your favorite meal before heading out to discover the sights of the Upper East Side. This daydream can become a reality with this apartment available for rental! Lined with dark wooden floors, the ample living room provides plenty of room for residents and guests. Two large windows are situated on a wall next to the sofa, and allow fresh air to flow through the room. Chairs near the windows allow for additional seating, and a glass coffee table in the room’s center provides a space to eat and work. A small table with two chairs stand next to a flat screen cable television; the former available to entertain you during nights at home, the latter supplying you with an adequate space to eat. Appliances in the kitchen are ready to use and will fulfill most of your cooking needs. These appliances include an oven, freezer, coffeemaker, toaster, and fridge. Offered in the soothing bedroom is a queen sized bed with fresh white sheets, dresser drawers for item storage, a window for generous ventilation, and a tranquil painting hanging on the wall. The whimsical bathroom, with its patterned green shower curtain, supplies a fresh and young vibe to the otherwise classic and mature household.
Would you like to share a neighborhood with some of NYC’s wealthiest residents in the Upper East Side? Attractions are plentiful in this community, and there are various things to engage in without travelling far. If you seek to learn about different cultures in New York, The Upper East Side is the perfect area to do so. Here, there lies a “museum mile.” A short train ride on the 6 line can take you to this section of Fifth Avenue, where you can visit such cultural centers as the Museum for African Art, El Museo del Barrio, Museum of the City of New York, The Jewish Museum, Guggenheim Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. For a place to stroll idly or gather thoughts, walk just one street from your potential apartment to the East River, overlooking Roosevelt Island. To the west of the home is Central Park (about .7 miles or 1.1 km away), so large and popular it can provide both a calming or exciting environment. A quick walk from the front door will bring you to Mount Vernon Hotel Museum and Garden, one of the oldest buildings in Manhattan! For a great dinner or drink near this apartment for rent, take a short walk to Bistro 61, El Porron, Tiella, Il Vagabondo, or Dangerfields Comedy Club.
For travel to other NYC neighborhoods, catch the 4, 5, 6, N, Q, or R at 59th Street and Lexington Avenue, about four streets away from the home. The F train is also located nearby, at Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street, and runs from Queens to Brooklyn.

Landlord is a great guy and made the move-in process and stay positive. Very responsive to any maintenance requests or questions. The apartment was spacious enough for my girlfriend and I to work remotely for the duration of the lease comfortably. The furniture was generally in good shape and the apartment came with pretty much all of the cooking / eating utensils, cleaning supplies equipment (incl. vacuum and broom), and linens necessary. The only reason the review isn't 5 stars across the board is that there was construction that started on the building and lasted for ~3 months of the stay that, noise aside, blocked the otherwise great natural light in the apartment in its entirety, which was pretty tough considering my girlfriend and I were WFH for most of this time and had chosen the place for the light. However, having walked by the building since, the construction looks to have been completed, so I'm sure it'd be a great WFH/partial WFH place for anyone looking now. Note: no laundry in the building but affordable wash dry fold services that do free pickup nearby (Ming's cleaners). |
