Imagine living in a Manhattan neighborhood known for its prosperous residents and historic buildings. Now you can, with this one bedroom apartment located on the Upper East Side between East 61st Street & First Avenue. Situated on the first floor (considered the ground floor by Europeans) of a five story walk-up building, this apartment features three rooms, abundant closet space in the living room, and a bathroom. Included in the building is a buzzer/intercom system, easily allowing entrance to your new NYC friends…or the delivery boy! Additionally, a well-kempt backyard is available for use by all residents of the building, allowing for a calming environment in an otherwise turbulent city.
For rest and relaxation after a day in the busy city, take pleasure in the cozy ambiance of the serenely-decorated living area. The beige couch adorned with dark pillows face a flat screen television, and wood flooring line the base of the dwelling. An area rug lies under a white coffee table, and a wooden chair sits next to the sofa, available for additional guests. Two closet spaces take up one side of the wall, providing space to store personal belongings. A Queen sized bed is supplied in the separate sleeping area to ensure your comfort, and an air conditioner is available for use during hot summer days. Two large windows facing south give view of a garden area. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a set of French doors. The bathroom, located next to the kitchen, is furnished with a tub, shower, and toilet. The nicely equipped separate kitchen includes most of your cooking tool necessities, such as an oven, freezer, coffeemaker, toaster, and fridge.
The Upper East Side is more than just the location of most Gossip Girl shoots. In fact, it is home to some of the city’s finest museums, restaurants, and shops. Six blocks west of this particular apartment is NY’s beloved Central Park, where you can picnic, sunbathe, take a long stroll, or visit the Central Park Zoo and Strawberry Fields, a landscape dedicated to former NYC resident John Lennon. Within walking distance of the apartment is the East river, overlooking Roosevelt Island, and Mount Vernon Hotel Museum and Garden, one of the oldest buildings in Manhattan. For delicious (and fancy) treats, head to Serendity 3 or Lexington Candy Shop, both known for their tasty comfort food. Home to the “museum mile”, the Upper East Side contains a variety of museums including El Museo del Barrio, Museum of the City of New York, The Jewish Museum, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Guggenheim Museum, German Cultural Center, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Restaurants of all kinds are scattered throughout this gorgeous New York City neighborhood. For beer and finger food, take a short walk to Baker Street. If you’re seeking high-end sushi, try Sushi Seki, also a short walk from this lavish home. Other noteworthy restaurants in the area include Flex Mussels, Daniel, Candle 79, Café Mingala, Hospoda, and Sushi of Gari. Bars within walking distance include Felice 64, Sin Bin, and The Blue Room. For public transportation around Manhattan, take the 4, 5, 6, R, Q, and N trains available at 59 Street and Lexington Avenue (a quick walk from the apartment.) The F train is also nearby at Lexington Ave and 63 Street, which runs from Queens to Brooklyn.

I rented this apartment for my daughter to stay while she attend NYU for the summer. We were thrilled from the moment we arrived as it was a true "New York" apartment. The apartment was great as it had a defined kitchen, living room and bedroom space. Lots of closet space (2 large with folding door) and a big dresser. All the amenities were in great working order including the TV and the cable/Wi-Fi. The apartment was very quiet as it faces the back courtyard so you do not hear the traffic outside. The location was prime as you are close to everything you would ever need, including a brief walk to the subway. It is also a very safe neighbourhood as my daughter was out late and had to walk from the subway and did not have any issues. |

The department cozy, quiet and has what it takes. Attentive and friendly owners. I was two months and do not regret the place point to stay there as it is near the main avenues. |
