This 500 square foot (46 m²) studio apartment is located in a luxury midrise building in rapidly developing Downtown Brooklyn. As well as having excellent subway access and being located in a commercial district, the apartment has hardwood floors, a full kitchen, a private terrace off the apartment and a pool in the building. Additionally there is a full-time doorman.
The apartment is on the 11th floor (accessible by elevator) and is fully furnished with all necessary amenities, including:
In one of the most densely populated and rapidly expanding parts of Brooklyn, this building is conveniently located in an exciting and busy neighborhood with excellent subway access and many public services. Both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges, icons of the New York City skyline, end just blocks from the apartment. These bridges are an imposing reminder of Brooklyn's connection to Manhattan, most strong in this neighborhood. You'll find the city's best view of the skyline in Brooklyn Bridge Park, recently renovated to represent the new Brooklyn.
Right next door are the Vinegar Hill and Dumbo districts, source of much of the artistic innovation that is revitalizing Brooklyn. These areas are home to many event and performance spaces. The downtown Brooklyn area is home to Kings Counties public services such as Borough Hall, the courts and the main post office for Brooklyn, and is a bustling business district with many universities and cultural attractions. The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Fulton Mall, NYC Transit Museum and the new Barclays center are all walking distance.
There is superb subway access in this area, with a majority of New York City's subway lines passing through the area. The nearest stations are York St (F), High St (A, C), Dekalb Avenue (B, D, N, Q, R) and Jay St Metrotech (A, C, F) -- all about 1/2 a mile or 800m from the studio. The 4, 5, 6 and 2, 3 lines are also walking distance away (about .7mi/1km). Midtown Manhattan is reachable in as few as 4 subway stops (Q train) and Downtown and the Financial District are even closer. Please note that though many subway stations are nearby, the neighborhood is somewhat spread out and it may take 10-15 minutes to walk to the stations from the apartment.
