Welcome to this vintage-style studio apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn! Decorated with charming antique accessories, this home matches its ultra-hipster neighborhood in design and essence. The community, near Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights, favors small shops and locally grown goods over high-end retailers and chain restaurants.
Sitting on Hall Street and Park Avenue, this studio apartment is located on the 1st floor (considered ground in Europe) of a 3-story prewar walk-up townhouse. It presents an ideal environment for travelers wishing to live as local Brooklynites, conveniently close to Manhattan while still sleeping in a residential, calmer and close-knit community.
The commodious studio includes hard wood floors and one full-sized bed with fresh linens. An old marble fireplace, antique dresser, and round wooden table decorate the space. A mirror from the 1930s hangs above the mantle. Contemporary artwork and convenient amenities lend the classic home a modern twist!
In the full-sized kitchen, a large wooden dining table accommodates at-home meals with family and friends. Upon request, furnishings may be rearranged to enhance privacy.
Students may find this accommodation convenient as it is walking distance from Pratt University and St. Joseph’s College.
Fort Greene, Brooklyn is one of the trendiest areas of the city, boasting a large park, greenmarkets, a famous flea market, vegan-friendly restaurants, and vintage clothing shops. In Just Kids, musician and author, Patti Smith wrote about spending her first years in New York in this area, along with famed photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. A short ride via public transportation will take you to the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and the art galleries of Williamsburg. Listed below are some suggestions of where to go in the area.
The nearest subway station serves the G train at the Clinton-Washington stop on Lafayette Avenue, situated about 1/2 a mile south (approx 800m). This train runs north-south through Brooklyn, giving access to both Williamsburg and Park Slope, as well as connecting to other lines that run to Manhattan. Several buses also serves the area around this studio.

I've stayed half a year in the apartment and was very happy with my temporary home. I was surprised upon arrival that the apartment is that spacious because wide angle photos are often deceiving. The interior is lovely and cozy, the apartment and amenities were clean and everything needed was there. Mary, the landlady did a great job and made me feel very welcome. She was always immediately available when I needed something and she even decorated my mantle for christmas... Amazing service! |

For me this wasn?t my rental apartment, but rather my home with my adopted family right upstairs on the 3rd floor. If I didn?t have three beautiful grandchildren waiting for me in New Jersey I don?t know if I ever would have left. Extraordinary, unforgettable experience. Maurene |

The apartment was conveniently located near a couple of bus stations that will take one all around Brooklyn. The neighborhood was also nice, with nice restaurants and shops on the nearby main street. |

Very nice apartment! I used to live there for 2 months and I really loved it. Very clean, quiet, big enough for 2 persons, 25 minutes away from manhattan with subway or 15 with the bike, very good shopping opportunities around. I felt as at home, so I highly recomment this place to everyone. |
