Live like a local in NYC with this one bedroom apartment in Harlem, Manhattan!
Located on W 130th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard, the one bedroom apartment sits on the top floor of a 3-story (considered 2-story in Europe) walk-up brownstone building built in 1910. A security system protects the premise.
The apartment of about 880sqft (81.7sqm) offers modern décor with a vintage vibe. Prewar qualities such as exposed brick, high ceilings, and hardwood floors add charm to the space. In the living room, a decorative fireplace gives warmth to the home, and large windows face the street. There are two sofas, a flat-screen television with cable and DVD player, and a dining table fit for four. Looking to cook at home? You can easily do so in the kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances. Besides the cooking amenities, it offers ample cabinetry, long granite countertops, and a dishwasher for convenience. Near the bathroom, a personal laundry washing machine and dryer are available. Finally, the bedroom presents a romantic environment of calm blue walls, white crown molding, and a queen-sized bed. Provided is a full-length mirror, wooden drawers for item storage, and an exposed brick wall with a small decorative fireplace built-in.
Set in the heart of Harlem, Manhattan this apartment is surrounded by historic architecture, culturally significant institutions and parks that offers lovely high-up views of the city. We suggest catching Amateur Night at The Apollo (0.5mi/800m), a show that has started the now-legendary careers of such performers as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and James Brown. Also check out the art at The Studio Museum in Harlem (0.4mi/650m). Looking to dine out? Harlem is known for its many top-rated restaurants. We suggest trying the old-school favorites (you can’t go wrong!) like comfort-food eateries Sylvia’s (0.2mi/350m) and Red Rooster (0.3mi/400m).
Public transportation around New York is easy from this central location. The nearest subway stations are:

-135 Street / Lenox Avenue: Serving the 2 and 3 trains. 0.3mi/450m.

This space was perfect for my stay in Harlem for work. It was a short 20 minute walk to my job and convenient to everything from dining and grocery shopping to pharmacy access and happy hours. NYC is difficult without assigned parking, so that was tough and the wifi was weak in the back of the apartment. The block was quiet and I never heard a thing once I was inside. Well decorated and comfortable bed. Convenient pullout sofa, couch and plenty of room for a Queen sized air mattress. I was sad to leave when my work assignment was complete. |
