Discover the quaint ambiance of Ridgewood, Queens, with its rowhouses and well-preserved century-old buildings. This furnished apartment is on the 1st floor (considered ground floor by Europeans) of a 2-story walk-up townhouse, at Fairview Avenue & Grove Street, just a few blocks north of trendy Bushwick, Ridgewood's sister neighborhood in Brooklyn.
This one bedroom apartment is lined with hardwood floors, whose warm color balances the white walls. In the kitchen / living area you will find the basic appliances to cook your meals at home, including a microwave. There is also a dining table seating 2. Please note that there is no living room in this apartment. However, a lounge area has been arranged in front of a TV in the bedroom. Here the white walls are a perfect background for the display of the colorful artwork! The full bathroom has a small bathtub, a mirrored medicine cabinet and a window for nautral light and ventilation.
Once a little-known Queens neighborhood, Ridgewood is now an up-and-coming area offering many amenities and plenty of things to do. The diverse mix of people gives the area many food and shopping options to choose from. If you like cooking, you will find many supermarkets in the area, the closest being Food Bazaar 0.6 miles away (900m). If you're curious about trying foods from different regions of the world, check out the extensive ethnic sections of many of these supermarkets, or enjoy a meal at one of the area's many restaurants.
Gottscheer Hall, for example, is a block from the apartment and serves German cuisine. A little further (0.3 miles / 450m), Amun Restaurant offers Indian food. Looking for a place to relax? Head 0.5 miles (800m) to Grover Cleveland Playground, or head 0.2 miles (300m) in the opposite direction to Rosemary's playground.
For public transportation, take the M subway train line at the Forest Avenue and 67th Avenue station, 0.3 miles (around 500 meters) from the apartment. It will take you to Manhattan, passing through trendy Bushwick and Williamsburg. Don't forget to get a good seat to admire the spectacular views of the NYC skyline while crossing the Williamsburg Bridge!
