I loved this apartment. If I wasn't moving out of NYC I would have stayed there for way longer than just three months. The landlord is super friendly and incredibly helpful, the apartment was quiet and very clean (it looks just like the pictures, no weird smells or other weird surprises), and in a great location (walking distance to Prospect Park and restaurants in Park Slope, right next to a B/Q station but also walking distance to the 2/3 and a 10 min walk from Atlantic Ave with 9 subway lines, across the street from a gym, pizza place, and a 24/7 Duane Reade). I'd recommend this apartment ten times out of ten. |

I originally signed a one year lease at this apartment and ended up staying a few extra months because I was so happy there. The price is in line with what studios go for in the neighborhood and the street i super quiet and very safe. It's also steps from the Q train which is one of the most reliable in the city. Beyond the basics, I would like to emphasize that if you live here you are becoming a part of a community. The people on Carlton Ave are friendly and have a block party once a year which has a pretty large turnout and is a lot of fun - the police close off the street for it and all of the neighbors come out and set up lawn chairs, grill food, and have live music. The location is also great because it's close to Prospect Park which quickly became my favorite feature of the neighborhood with a 3.25 mile jogging / biking course and it's also a place for gathering with friends to cook out or lie in the grass on a sunny afternoon. The landlord is wonderful, responsive, and is a central figure in the community. I had no issues in the time I spent at the apartment and I cannot recommend the apartment highly enough. |
